2busy's Training Log of Solitude

Whatever you want to call your log. Just get back to 100%.

Getting there!

The fireworks show I was at on Sunday Night.

2016 Orr’s Fireworks

20160706 - Well…

They said nothing strenuous, so off to the gym.

Spin - 20 minutes

Weighed in at 204 lbs.

Apparently you can lose weight on hospital food!

Keep up your strength, eat lots of protein. A wise person told me to do this once

Must be feeling ok now?

I feel good. Honestly I have felt fine since the day after the stroke. My vision was the only issue.

That is now at about 90-95%.

Garbage is playing in town tonight and I could be getting another chance to see Shirley Manson.

I have my kids this weekend, so that’s not happening.

Oh well.

In reflection, Shirley seems to show up after every time I have a stroke…

Coincidence?

20160708 - Hockey

45 minutes Stick and Puck.

Skated around.
Half circle turns on inside edges.
Forward crossovers clockwise and counterclockwise.
Some puck handling.
Set up some cones and practiced some dangles

Goofed around a little with the kids on the ice.

Observations:

  1. I get dizzy faster then I used to.
  2. I probably should have worn my knee braces,
  3. It was nice to be back on the ice.

I am sure she is there to nurse you back to health :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Sure, lol.

I could be so lucky.

At least I got a decent pic of her with me last time

Well, sort of.

Encouraged my team from the bench. Won 4-1 with only tow lines of offense and defense.

They jokingly told me I may have to stay on the injured reserve for the rest of the season.

Yay!! Glad you guys won! Waiting for video in your cheerleader outfit…lol. must be complete with mini skirt, poms-poms, and leg warmers.

Actually… It was my referee helmet and my team jersey.

I know you Texans have seen hockey. I was at the Stars/Devils game last May in Dallas…

Back in 1980 something I watched The Mighty Ducks, does that count? Just thought you might be showing off those toned thighs :joy:

That movie is what got my kids playing hockey and subsequently me…

Hmmm, I haven’t posted legs pics in a while
