I dont have and first hand experience with shorter cycles altho I do have one possibly coming up soon.
I think they can be extremely effective tho. Diet and training and as you stated short esters are critical for short cycle success IMO. I think they are ideal especially when using orals that are on the higher end of liver toxicity.
Im a big proponent of running longer cycles for long esters 14-16-20 weeks but I think 6-8 week short cycles for other esters and compounds can be great.
Iāve been on around 200mg for over a year. At 3-4 months I donāt think I gained any more than I could have naturally if I put in the work. If I were you (and Iām not) Iād do 400-500mg for 12 weeks (or however long) so you know youāre going to get some results. Youāll definitely get something from 250mg but I donāt think itās the results you are picturing in your head. You know you better than anyone else so in the end do what you think is best for you. Iām just throwing my opinion out there.
That said, a long time ago before I knew anything about steroids (literally nothing) I was given 250mg EQ and did it for 4 months and gained 20ish pounds. I lost most of it afterwards because I went from feeling like a mf-ing boss to a teenage girl. Many a lesson learned from that.
I too will be doing shorter cycles from now on. @osu122975
I have some experience with them when I used to do a traditional PCT but never while being on TRT, I presume they will be much easier without having the PCT crash.
Having recently used NPP for 10 days just to gauge my reaction, I will definitely be using it for a 4/5 week blast to bulk up. I will keep my test around 100mg/wk and run Masteron and Var or Dbol/Tbol with it. After doing a few of those, I will then cut on a short cycle too using Tren Ace and Var with Mast.
From a health point of view, shorter cycles seem to be the way to go. You will gain less weight so your heart should not have too much to cope with and any sides will only last a few weeks.
Having said that, I will not blast high dosages just because it is a shorter cycle, I will frontload and then use moderate doses.
The way u laid it down shows the knowledge u are carrying sir. Thank u for taking the time out and reply. Will do the traditional wheneva i do. Do u think hcg is mandatory for PCT or Nolva will do the job efficiently. Had to head here for queries as here in India trainers are like just go for the shot and boom u are a bodybuilder in 3 months that too most of stuff is fake.
i run 250mg test enanthate every week from past 2years and is pretty good for starters to gain some decent amount of muscle mass around maximum 70 to 75 kg bodyweight. if you take your diet on time ,high good fats consumes and lift heavy wieghts .
First cycle was 300mg test e and gained around 10lbs of keepable mass in 10 weeks. Had a couple years training under my belt and was already around natural peak. Test is a recovery agent that allows you to recover more efficiently and faster. This allows you to work a muscle group more often because you will recover faster. I highly recommend gvt or push pull legs for maximum gains because it allows you to hit muscles more frequently. The goal is to stimulate growth as much as possible. Make sure you pct!
^op this dude is the guy when it comes down to honest gear usage and knowledge. There are diminishing returns from increasing dosages so when you run gear, you need to take into consideration how YOUR body will react to the stimulate. with proper training and gifted genetics (reaction and heightened sensitivity to test) 300mg is a good start. Many people start at high doses and because of this become desensitized. This makes them hit a wall down the road requiring much more gear to make gains. Taking the moderate approach is a good way to see how your body reacts to test. Iād start at 300 and run that and see what your side effects are, as well as how your bloods look and how much size you gain. Some people even at 500 have shitty bloods, bacne etc while some donāt. Starting at a moderate dosage gives you maximum growth potential.
Sex hormone binding globulin and total testosterone. They should be measured in your blood work.
Basic version is high SHBG is bad because it binds up your testosterone and lowers free test. You want the number to be on the lower end if youāre cycling. It meansāagain, super simple version hereāthat youāre more efficient with the use of the testosterone in your body. If more of it is free then thatās good.
Total testosterone matters less in the grand scheme of actual muscle growth. If you have TT thatās high because of a cycle but low free T then youāre getting less out of it than you would with higher free T but lower total T. Does that make sense? Thatās the sixth grade version. If you want the college course it costs extra.
