25 Yrs Old. Low Testosterone Levels

Hi everyone,

I am a 25 year old male. I have been bodybuilding from past 4 years and started powerlifting recently. I get my blood works(mostly cholesterol and free sugar) every 6-7 months. Last week when I got my blood work done, I decided to get my testosterone also checked. The results showed 310 ng/dL. I know the doctors would say this is normal but this is at the lower end of the normal spectrum and anytime I could move to lower range. I have been less motivated lately even to go to gym let alone to do my work. However my strength has been increasing(over the last two years I have added 80 kg to my deadlift and 50 kg to my squats). Also my HDL cholesterol levels returned low around 25mg whereas the optimal levels should be around 60mg. My diet is not too good but it is not too bad either. My fat levels have also increased in my regular BMI.

Note: I dont use any supplements and havent used anabolic steroids

TRT gets so much attention these days that no one ever considers thyroid hormones, and not just TSH but Free T3, Free T4, Reverse T3 and antibodies. Testosterone is only one system that can bring you down to your knees, thyroid hormones speeds up every cell in your body and sets the tone for everything else.

Sadly most doctors fumble the ball when testosterone or thyroid hormones are deficient, doctors inside insurance networks are less than ideal for the job since their entire world is ruled by labs numbers, if only they could have critical thinking and reasoning and imagine how a 25 year old could have the same hormone levels as a 90 year old and be alright about it.
