Thanks everyone for the comments. I know I needed to do more conditioning, I hardly did any at all. So lately I have been doing 20 min of HIIT on the elliptical every other day, and about 20-30 min of steady state on the treadmill or bike. My diet is something I need to work on too. I thought is was good, but like The Mighty Stu had mentioned before I prob should do more carb cycling, which I’m trying now. Plus being my forst show, and doing everything on my own I felt I did ok.
I have separated my quad and hamstring training days, as a few have mentioned to see if i can get better development and separation. I also am considering doing the Dexter Classic in August, and perhaps the Southern Championchips in November.
My current days are
monday 1: quads- starting with 4-5 sets of front squats, 4-5 sets of back squats, 5-7 sets of leg extensions, 4 sets of lunges or split squats, 3-4 sets of hack squats, and 4-5 sets of leg press. with calf work inbetween
tuesday 2: chest
wednesday 3: rest
thursday 4: shoulders and hamstrings (4-5 sets of lying leg curls, 4-5 sets of standing leg curls, 4-5 sets of seated single leg curls, 4-5 sets of doubleleg curls)
friday 5: arms
Looked good man, but another 4 weeks would have been better. Any more shows around, why not follow in stu’s steps and keep your weight around there and then cut a little more to bring in better conditioning, and get yourself used to knowing what ur meant to look like when on stage.
Good work
