2024 Presidential Candidate Talk

I have not been around here that long but judging from the recent posts, am I to believe the right-wing zealots just came out?

And what is my inane idiocy? Single-payer? Worker Co-ops? Or maybe the workings of MMT?

Well, I did say prior that I voted for the Green Party. So maybe Jill Stein. Does that make you happy?

So is it better to unionize or start a worker co-op?

Which claims are you speaking about?

Does equality of opportunity equate to equality of outcome? What some people claim on here. Everything is the same. If they had sports teams they’d all score the exact same. No one would win.

Ahh, no just a description of his argumentation.

I don’t embrace a worse product.

I’ve been heavily involved in the medical field from a legal perspective across the entire country and abroad.

I’m very intimate with single payer - it blows. We’ve been through this before.

Our system needs change - I don’t disagree - but single payer and more government involvement is not the answer.

D. All of the above.

But the non-existent free-market is?

If it blows why doesn’t someone in a country that has single-payer run with a message that is anti-single-payer?

Then what is the solution genius?

All of which are better than what we have now. But better is actually worse in your world.

Less objectionable” is a low bar to clear, but my own Congressional Representative Jared Golden (D) manages to get over it. Not by a lot, but he’s not a woke mess or an embarrassment to the community. I didn’t vote for him, but he’s a lot better than many alternatives.

In my opinion if you support or even have supported the notion that K-6 children ought to be taught that they might be, can be, and even should be members of the opposite sex, you’re already too far gone as a political candidate. I don’t care if you’re a perfect conservative on every other issue, fucking with little kids in public schools is too much for me.

Taking a step back, instructing children in radical left-wing gender ideology is just the latest profound failure of leftist social engineering taking shape in real time right in front of us. We don’t need to reach deeply into our past to remember the lockdowns, the vaccine mandates attempted through OSHA and federal procurement authority, the kneecapping of our latest generations’ academic progress, the kneecapping of our domestic energy industry, the resulting skyrocketing energy prices connected to literally everything we do as a society, the inflation of our currency and every other bad outcome that we’re all experiencing together, day-by-day.

It is, in my opinion, time for some self-reflection as a society.

It would be a bloodbath, unless Mayor Pete somehow creates a lot of distance between him and the Executive Administration that he’s a Cabinet-Level member of.

There are plenty of things that would help - I don’t think it’s a simple or easy answer.

Healthcare is not a right.

My solutions (I’m not arrogant enough to think I could solve it simply) aren’t even worth sharing with you. We can just agree to disagree because I don’t want to waste the time.

Better for whom?

Says you and people like you. Just let people die or go through BK because of an illness. You know where they don’t have medical BK’s? In any country that has, one of those sucky single-payer healthcare systems. I guess that blows in your opinion?

For the public. Not the oligarchy.

This doesn’t answer my question and is non sense. The workers in the outlined scenario just lost their job. Where would funds come from to start a worker co-op?

Again you didn’t answer what I asked.
No one here belives these are equal nor should they be. Equality of opportunity makes sense. Equality of outcome is just plain stupid. Again the only way the latter works is to lower everyone else to the level of The dumbest/laziest person. That is not something I am willing to sign up for.
And you didn’t answer the question asked. If I am so ignorant to “real” Marxism please Enlighten me.

More nonsense. An ad hominem attack is a logical fallacy and resorted to when one has no real argument.

Says anyone with a brain and anyone against slavery.

Nobody has a right to the labor of somebody else at the force of government.

You are a clown.

I must be part of the oligarchy then.

Costs who half of what?

A right is inherent. If you have to attain something from another individual, it cannot by definition be a right.

For instance, safety is not a right but self defense is.

Where do the funds come to start any co-op?

But some on here actually believe that was Marx stated goals. Marx essentially was a critic of capitalism. He believed the workers should own the means of production(worker co-ops).

Just trying to sound smart from another foot soldier of ignorance. A useful idiot.

So just let people die or become financially destitute because they got sick. That is your alternative?

They could all pitch in!

Like, cash out their 401k, any other IRA’s they may have, leverage their mortgages…

Oh, just like a regular old business owner. Oops. My bad.
