I dunno man, you’re sounding a whole lot like an indoctrinated rube.
I try. Some would even say, a “derelict.”
Who is saying this?
The U.S. has many similar problems as Venezuela. Who is sanctioning us or enacting an embargo on the U.S.?
I know NPR is probably a bit too-right-wing-conservative for you, but:
At least our Doctors make more than our Janitors, and we have food on the shelves (mostly).
Why is this something to celebrate?
I’m not sure I fully understand your question.
I’m too lazy to elaborate, enjoy the rest of your Friday
Because, presumably, there are fewer people with the abilities to become qualified Doctors. Other than forced labor, there are few(no?) ways to direct talent to the jobs that require it than with money.
I believe anyone can become a doctor as long as they put the work in
(And have no mental disability)
Aw crap I may be an ableist ![]()
Jokes aside, yeah that makes sense, it’s just that sometimes when people compare different occupations/salaries, they tend to view particular occupations as less-than, I am not a fan of that. I’m gonna assume that was not @Andrewgen_Receptors thought process.
I can objectively say that doctors are more important than janitors.
That doesn’t mean a doctors’ life is more important, it’s that their occupation, specialization, and knowledge is more important.
I think they’re equally important. Janitors clean stuff, preventing the spread of germs or grime. Now if you compare…. let’s just use Joe Biden (cause why not) to a Doctor that’s a different story.
A janitor a day keeps the doctor away…… or was it an Apple?
Positionally, yes. Scarcity-wise? no.
But i think we’re getting all into semantics here.
They didn’t stop Covid.
Neither did masks, the jab nor the doctors
I don’t know if you want to lump them in with masks and the “jab.” They still do a lot of good, right?
I worked as a janitor for two years. My job was nowhere near as important as a doctor, haha.
That was not my intent, just saying the doctors did not stop covid either
The doctor could always clean stuff. The janitor can’t treat people. That’s pretty straight forward.
And where is NPR getting their economic education from? More gold standard bullshit.
