I believe he has said it will be a woman. Any of the woman candidates who ran against him would be top picks, but I’m sure there are other senators/congress members who would fit.

Which would bring up this question: Would the Democrats do better by openly promising to suicide Biden if he is elected?
It’s a pretty sad commentary on our politics. 2016 we had essentially the two most despised politicians in modern times (based on polling) as the selected choices for the main parties. The disliked winner had about 3 million less people vote for him than the despised loser. An epic matchup of two politicians people hated.
Now we’re following that up with the same historically despised candidate (lowest approval in history over time) vs a candidate who hasn’t been historically despised, but is older than shit and mentally less than he used to be when he still had foot in mouth syndrome. A candidate essentially no one actually wants to be President who people will vote and root for simply because the current one is a child.
Pretty sad shit.

It’s sad. I have blue collar roots that go way back. I’ve lived my adult life in labor. I should be a Democrat. For all intents and purposes, I am.
But I just can’t. My reasons why not just continue to outweigh reasons why.
My two best guesses or attempts to root for a candidate, Klobuchar and Buttigieg, got dropped like rocks without a second thought.

Fair stuff. And I can’t imagine a worse person than Trump in the White House so I can’t go there either.
But it’s pretty sad no matter how one looks at any of it.
I think Biden would have been popular in 2016.
I wouldn’t disagree. Biden on the whole from what I’ve ever read has been generally popular. After getting in the Senate I don’t believe he ever had a real close race. I just don’t view him as particularly popular at this moment. Of course his popularity now is enhanced for many by being not Trump.
I think 2016 Biden (if nominated of course) beats Trump in that alternate universe.

No joke. I am really surprised by the complete loss of game they showed. I thought only Republicans could shoot themselves in the foot that badly. I think I even made a few comment in years past on it…

So many decent candidates, like 40 of them, and they picked the one guy who was like a slam dunk to lose.
At this point he reminds me of the last couple of years of “Dick Clark’s Rockin’ New Year”.
