I think it’s an economic decision. Ask anybody that runs their mouth for a living, and when pressed hard enough about something they said will tell you “It’s just words! I never actually did anything to anybody”. A man of action knows its not just words. Words denote actions, and need to be used wisely.
You can use it any time you want too, @SkyzykS.
I sure as hell am when Conservatives bend over and give Trump the lube on things that would have gotten President Obama hung from the Washington monument.
I’ve seen him in interviews.
He comes off (to me) like slowly boiling water.
He really starts off nice and cool…then when pressed more and more…he boils more and more until the Seal starts to come out.
Amazing Warrior, and Patriot. I’ll pass on him as President.
When have I defended Hillary and Biden? Didn’t support the former…and won’t vote for the latter.
I’ve taken as many “Body Count” and “CornPop” jabs at the two as anyone.
President Obama? You bet.
Me too. He never legislated anybody out of existence.
Weak!
To me, it is applicable when comparing two candidates for a job. Most other applications I don’t find it to be justified.
???
Yeah, I’m just pointing out that when comparing what Trump has done or not done next to Obama, when it shed negative light or pointed out something less than stellar that O did, it was Whataboutism! Da Russians have Infiltrated your weak Trump voting minds!
But if it was pointing out Donald’s buffonery it was all good. Fair comparison. No Whataboutism here!
Energy jobs,livings.and industries.
The same policies Killery threatened to continue and expand to fracking/gas.
I think since we have to pick one of these characters it is fair to say that both lack mental clarity and are both creeps / a bit rapey. I don’t think that is whataboutism.
Saying that a president should get away with a crime because another president got away with similar crime is not a valid argument as the first should have been punished. That is an example of whataboutism.
Again:
I’ve taken as many “Body Count” and “CornPop” jabs at Hillary and Biden as anyone…and didn’t support the former and won’t vote for the latter.
President Obama? You bet.
I’d say that is completely reasonable. Good for the goose, good for the gander, etc.
I was thinking more along the lines of comparing O’s apology tour with Trumps smoothing things over with Russia, each messy hotspots that needed addressed, each handled entirely differently by the press/public perception.
It all depended (and still depends) on what tribe someone belongs to and what tribe “the media” tends to support.
P.S. The site (I think it is automated!) wants others to reply to you and get involved, @SkyzykS!
Who do you think Biden will pick as running mate?
Maxine Waters or CornPop? (Sorry…couldn’t resist!)
I think the momentum is toward Warren, Bernie (unlikely) or another female member of Congress.
I don’t see Bernie at all, but only my opinion, no research
None of us are without bias, are we, @SkyzykS?
See how differently you (and Conservatives) worded these?
Yeah. It auto-prompts after like 3 consecutive volleys or something.
That’s pretty much the crux of my point. There is a heavy, heavy double standard on what gets called as good policy, diplomacy, or even a candidate.
I mean bloody hell, people (dems) were, and still are (not entirely unjustified either) talking some major smack about Trumps psychological state, physical wellness, choice of neck ties, you name it, it was and is fair game.
In response to him, or just as a natural product of the parties descent into complete decadence, who do they put forth?
Fucking Biden.
Now I know why Dems are all about gun control. They’re afraid they’ll unload Another high capacity magazine into their foot Again.
For lack of a better term for a recognizable event.
I’d have called it Obamas “Parade of Arrogance” after seeing him talk down his nose and tell the leaders of the middle east how America was going to conduct itself on their subcontinent for the coming years of his admin.
That was one cold and very poorly read/understood room.
And that is said without partisan bias. Just based on what I know (very little) about the middle east and how they feel about us on their land.
