I mean… Baltimore deserves credit where it is due. They hung in there, kept fighting and stuck to what was working, which is run it down their throats.

But yes, Pittsburg did everything they could to try and lose that game, and did lose it.

Oh, absolutely. Forsett finally found his grove. The O-line opened up some good lanes (pass protection was a bit rocky), Flacco bounced back after the two turnovers, and the defense played decent. The Steelers are a good team too and Hines field isn’t any easy place to get a win.

Pittsburg should of won though. Scobe’s gonna be out of a job I think.

1-15 is nothing to be proud of  [/quote]

Hey man that might be the #1 pick!

The game got me to thinking… Best kicker in the league? Tucker and Gostkowski have got to be pretty close to one another.

Tucker is the most accurate kicker of all time if I’m not mistaken.

I’ll take Phil Dawson. Guy made kicking next to Lake Erie look easy.

They play the Browns twice, so 3-13 is more logical.

Marshall is having a game already!!! Ivory and Decker are both in. So is Revis. RIP Miami dolphin’s 2015/16 season!!

The Dolphins looked terrible today.

Baltimore definitely hung in there. Besides Scobee missing twice, the Steelers played way too conservatively to end the game.

Depends on what you consider the minimum amount of FG’s/seasons to enter that discussion. Regardless, there is a reason we gave Gostkowski all that money: He’s probably been the best kicker in football the previous two seasons. He doesn’t get to kick 50+ often, but when he does he is money, probably the best in the league.

EDIT: Dan Bailey is the most accurate kicker in history, but then again both guys are too young to enter the conversation.

Rex Ryan defense is every bit as painful to watch as I expected. Every time I see Kyle Williams drop into coverage it makes me want to punch my tv.

17 penalties is awful, but it doesn’t help when the refs are biased to shit either. How the fuck is this a chop block? (Called back a fucking touch down for a “chop block” to the waist? Are you fucking kidding me?)

Some real bull shit calls and non calls in favor of the Giants today. Bills played poorly enough they really didn’t need the help.

Rex’s teams are always undisciplined and over-hyped. He had 3 years early success in NY but has only done fuck-all since then. He’s a piss poor leader, an ok defensive coordinator and a blowhard who talks to damn much.

If he put half as much effort into his coaching and planning as he does into talking, he’d probably have good teams.

This needs to be in the ‘Grind my gears’ thread.

My bad. Passed

Dan Campbell…

Oh my… Things get worse and worse for the Dolphins…

You would have thought they learned after their previous FA spending spree, too.

They seem to be following the Cleveland Browns method of team building.

Rotate QB’s every few years, in between rotate coaches. Not understand why they cant turn things around.

I liked Philbin from when I saw the Dolphins on hard knocks a few years ago. I liked his approach and I really thought he was going to do a good job for them.

They are in a world of shit right now. It was time for Philbin to go. For whatever reason he lost that team and their season would not be able to recover with him running the team.

I think the Head Coaching landscape is pretty barren right now. With the whole Kelly mess in philly, I would think front offices would be pretty gun shy about going out and getting a scheme head coach. If they do really well here on out they should stick with Campbell. If not they will probablly pick up the hot coordinator from this years super bowl champs…like idiots.

I don’t hate placing Campbell in the interim head coaching spot. He is a Parcells student and there is something about him that I like. I will admit I haven’t seen any of his coaching style. I just feel like his players are going to respect him and play hard for him.

The problem with Campbell is his total lack of experience. One year coaching internship and four years of being a position coach of the same position he played. Not that they had better options per se (the Dolphins will finish last in the AFC East no matter what probably), but Campbell over Lazor or Coyle is puzzling, unless they really are gunning for that first pick of the draft.

The cool thing is we will get to watch and find out how it all plays out.
