Agree completely.
A lot of speculation the Eagles want Mariotta pretty bad. All speculation at this point. But I’d take Mariotta over Winston any day of the week just on general character alone.
I don’t want to mortgage the farm for him, a la the skins with RGIII, but I want no parts of Winston unless he fell to the 3rd round or later, which obviously isn’t going to happen.
I hope the Eagles take Winston

You can really be nasty at times. If they can’t trade up for Mariotta I think they’ll try to trade back and pick up Hundley.
Riiiggght! The Skins should keep RG3 if they want to win the division!
Damn right! Not sure why everyone is claiming the Skins are this giant dumpster fire. They definitely need some work but I still don’t see how all the analysts think we are at the very bottom with an actual 1st round pick and more cap space. They are predicting us to be just as bad if not worse than last year.
I see Murray or Peterson in a Colts uniform this next year. I think they should hold on to Bradshaw too if they can. I guess Richardson might be done in the NFL?

Yep and I think pick up Blount after the Pats drop him.

I dont’ see that happening. They would have just rented him for the year if they were going to do that. We get into week 5 or 6 and are 2-4 or 3-3 and he starts bitching, they will cut him, but not in the offseason.

True unless he could pick up AP or Murray?

Nah, def not Bradshaw. They would just keep Vareen in that case. He knows the offence, and fumbles less. Brawshaw is a Bill type guy though… You might be right.
They aren’t going to pay either of those two backs, so unless they want to take less for a chance at a ring, that isn’t happening.

I was going to write this. The Pats historically don’t spend a lot on free agents, and when they have…see Adailus Thomas, they’re usually busts.
I don’t think AP or Murray are going to be busts but I don’t see a chance in hell they pay them what they can get elsewhere.
It would have to be up to the players to take a cut for the ring, which I don’t see either doing.

Murray has potential to be a huge free agent bust. Dude cant stay healthy and has only had one injury free season- 2 if you count college. Interestingly, his injury free seasons came his junior and senior year and his contract year (basically, pay day years) but maybe that is just a coincidence.

I can see AP taking a paycut and coming to the Pats trying to get a ring. And then being all beast mode, fuck the world, you guys are dicks about it.
He has something to prove. At least in his own mind.

I wish that to be the case. AP in New England makes them superbowl favorites as long as he’s here. I doubt he’ll take that kind of cut though. The Jones’ will pay him, and he’ll have a chance to win a ring there. (they wont win, buy it’s a much much better chance than about 23 other teams)
So it’s either get paid and take a chance to get a ring, or Take a pay cut and be almost guaranteed to get a ring.
AZ got Fitzgerald taken care of. New 4 yr contract that voids after 2 yrs. Gives us $13 million in cap space and him $11 mill over the next 2 seasons.

I dont really understand why. I guess it’s nice to have some loyalty with a player but this guy has given that team so many good years to get little to show for it. Even now they are more of a cinderella story when they do well…

Supposedly there’s a bidding war going on for the tape.

Adam Schefter said he has been investigating it for a while and knows whats on the tape according to PFT. Could be something.
Schefter is one of the few guys I actually trust for football news too. So that’s not good. DeMarco Murray is probably praying it’s bad.
