I really wanted Brady to get one for the thumb. Not for me, but for my uncle and the 7 foot Bulgarian dude I met last month. Two of the most die hard fans I’ve ever known.
EDIT: Just saw the details… Shame on the fucking Pats for not beating that. It’s a 3 year deal FFS.
He’s getting paid more than Brady for the next 3 years.
Yeah, my understanding is the pat’s couldn’t have floated the cap hit anyway.
I mean… I’m rip shit fucking pissed, but they sign browner and trade for some young stud from Cleveland or some other minor league (ownership) squad and we’ll be okay.
It’s just everyone in that division got exponentially better on paper and the Pats only got worse, in real life. The McCordy deal looks like a god send right now.
I think the McCourty deal is awful. The pats way over paid for an average safety. Having Revis back there made everyone else look way better than they really are.
Hey I resent thatâ?¦. I listen to EEIâ?¦.Toucher and Rich suck. I like Felger, he’s funny but Mazz is a dweeb.
Beans, I like McCourty, honestly I do. The NFL puts a greater value on cornerbacks vs. safeties. He had a good rookie season as a CB and then wasn’t very good. They moved him to safety because of this. You rarely see a safety get drafted in the top 10. And if you do, see Bills drafting Whitner, they scream “reach” It’s like tackle vs guard on the other side of the ball.
Arrington is a nickel nothing more, nothing less. Yes he has made plays, but he was torched in the Super Bowl. I can live with him as a nickel or a dime.
My issue is you have two shutdown corners and they’re both going to be gone. Browner takes too many penalties, but he’s much better than any thing they currently have. For the first time in 10 years there secondary was a strength, now it’s not. If Browner was covering Plaxico Burress instead of Ellis Hobbs, they wouldn’t have called a fade route.

Agreed, but I don’t think either him nor BB see him any differently. He’s also pretty pimp on Special Teams.

100% agree with everything you wrote here. I’m super depressed about next year. And no, I’m not buying into the “in Bill we Trust” shit any longer. He just gutted the best D he’s had in a decade.
EDIT: although I would say, with Mayo healthy, there aren’t a lot fo teams with a better linebacking crew than the Pats have right now. Pissed Ayers is gone though.

^ My early 2015 prediction is Dolphins vs. Colts in the AFC title game. I think Suh, while way overpaid, will give the Dolphins the boost they need to win the East and make a run.
East: Dolphins

I hope you are right haha. If Tannehill manages to hit Wallace with the long ball and doesn’t overthrow him (and Wallace actually catches it) and Suh helps up our run-D I think we will be pretty good. I need a replacement for my 2008 AFC East Champions T-shirt. Starting to get beat up haha.

Ya, they’re the only teams in the AFC, imo, that are making the moves to improve from 14 to 15. Everyone else is regressing or is still a year or 2 away from contending (like the Bills for example).

The Colts needed a running game and damn did they get one. I admittedly don’t know what’s going on with their offensive line. Every team in the AFC North has taken a step backwards at this point and my guess is the team with the strongest draft will take the division, but little else. Denver will once again win the west with KC & San Diego blowing it per usual.
Chiefs are winning the West this year. If we can pick up a good o-lineman in the first, and another wide receiver in the 2nd we have as good a shot as anyone. I think Maclin will help a lot, Albert Wilson has potential in the slot, Kelce is a beast and I expect the defense to be good again. The return of DJ and DeVito should help the run game a lot as will the Branch signing.
Peyton Manning is an old lesbian, I’m glad he is back so we can finally beat the prick.
The Chargers went and signed a few offensive lineman so far. I’m glad they are addressing the biggest weakness of the team.
Also, thank god Ryan Matthews was gone. I could not stand him. Biggest waste of a first round draft pick. Dude was always hurt, always fumbles, and can’t pass protect. I can’t believe Eagles went from McCoy to Matthews.
Well, it’s been fun watching all this happen. I don’t like seeing Dwayne Harris leaving, I always liked his play and always wanted them to get him more involved somehow on offense but we almost have to many weapons on that side of the ball. The Giants are getting a very solid player.
I am hoping the Cowboys can maybe do a sign and trade of DeMo for All Day or something.
I read an article that the pats offered only 5 million dollars less in guaranteed money for Revis. That seems pretty foolish for the pats to let him walk for that amount.
The pats are taking a beating losing players on both sides of the ball, Im not saying they wont be there in the end but with the improvement personel wise every team has made in the AFC East, I cant see one clear cut team better than the rest. It could be said every team has improved except the pats. Football has truly become a year round sport.

I see the Jets picked up Fitzpatrick today. Not a bad move. He’ll teach Geno to throw better pics. But he really is an upgrade atm.
Would you rather have Fitz / Smith or Casell / Manuel? If you had to pick.

What hit on Offense? Please don’t say Vereen when they’ve re-upped Bolden and Bush,Spiller, Thomas amongst others are still out there.
Defense for sure since Revis (or any quality shutdown CB) allows a team to play differently on D.
I agree that NE has taken a ‘step back’, but not because of their offense.
