You haven’t even watched their games, have you? The OL has looked awful, not Kaepernick. He’s had zero protection, this last game being typical of his preseason. Three-fifths of last year’s starters haven’t played this preseason, and one of the ones who has (Iupati) is coming off a broken leg in last year’s Championship Game.

When they actually have their entire starting lineup in the game (Gore plays about two downs a preseason, Davis has only suited up once, Crabtree and Boldin have played about two series so far) in a regular season is the time to start evaluating Kaepernick.
I suspect the Niners and Kaepernick will be pretty good this year; just not as quite as good as the reigning Super Bowl Champion Seattle Seahawks and Russell Wilson.
Bottom line: can anyone in the NFC claim the sort of talent that these two teams have? None. Green Bay and New Orleans are pretty close, though. But the Niners have already proven they have Green Bay’s number and NO is still a shitshow the second they get on the road anywhere. Unless they win homefield advantage, it’ll be SF and Seattle again.

As an aside, I went to Levi’s Stadium yesterday. Absolutely gorgeous stadium.

Is it one of those deals where the taxpayer financed it? Just wondering.
Of course it is. I hate that part of these stadium deals. All of these multi-billion dollar companies begging Joe Taxpayer to foot half the bill for their private palaces are disgusting.

The Giants built their ballpark entirely on their own dollar, and now the Warriors are doing the same (plus they bought the land that the arena is going on as well). SF basically told the Niners to go fuck themselves and that they aren’t getting one red cent from the city unless the Niners footed the bill for a bunch of other peripheral shit, then when the Niners found some suckers down in Santa Clara and moved, The City started flipping out and accusing the Niners of abandoning SF. They play about 40 miles south of SF now.

That’s why I didn’t renew my season tickets this year. I’m fucking over it. I lived in Santa Clara at the time that the bond measure was voted on and I actually voted against it. As much as I love the Niners, those fuckers can go fuck themselves when it comes to these stadium deals.

They expect the public to pay for them, and then they charge $50 to park anywhere close to the stadium, they lobby the city to pass laws barring people near the stadium from leasing their residential property for game-day parking, they fuck you in the ass on the price of a ticket to a stadium that your own goddamned money built, and half the stadium is completely inaccessible unless you pay a few grand more for “special” access. It’s a fucking joke. That’s what sports are turning into in this country. I’d rather just watch the Niners from the comfort of my own couch.

I’ll probably still end up at half the games, but I won’t be paying for any of those tickets out of my pocket.

It must have been. No self-respecting private owner would allow a fucking soccer game in such a nice stadium, especially the week before opening day.

That may be true, but I have a feeling Tebow will have more career playoff wins than Johnny.
I am a fan of both. I have like Johnny Football from the beginning. I think Tebow got Rex Ryan’d out of the league. I think the media attention is a killer for both of them.
I saw was at the Chik-fila Bowl last year, Johnny made a believer out of me. It was amazing. I think both can (could) succeed with the right coaching and allowing these guys to develop.
You seen Roethlisberger throw? It ain’t pretty. It doesn’t always have to be. Making people what they are not tends to fuck them up.
Pat we argued about this years ago about Tebow. He didnt get Rex’d. He just fucking sucks as a NFL QB.

Johnny will be hurt like Vick and RG3

x2, how the fuck is Rex Ryan to Blams for the fall of Tebow? It was not his choice to have him on the Jets it was clearly that off Jets Owner Woody Johnson, and former GM Mike Tannenbaum. Then I guess you can pass blame to the incompletent play calling of then OC Tony Sporano. Tebow should also be to blame for his unwillingness to accept that he will not be a QB in the NFL and would, as a last ditch approach try to learn a different position.

But Pat hates Rex Ryan, so its expected.

I know. And I don’t care to revisit. You have your opinion and I have mine and we will agree to disagree.

Agreed.

JF will get broke in half.

That’s why running Qb’s will never be the next big thing. They just don’t play consistently well or don’t stay healthy. Passing QB’s that can run are about as close to the “athlete playing QB” side of things that you should get.
I agree. The only thing being a runner does is get you through the first couple of years while you learn to play in the NFL. No runner keeps running through out his career or it will be a short one. Everybody is one injury away from being a spectator.

He’s either going to be awesome or get broke in half. No middle ground. I root for the kid though, I like him. Cleveland was not the best place for him. I would have like to have seen him on the Texans or Arizona. The Browns can’t ever seem to get their shit together.

The Seahawks look just as good as last year. No reason they shouldn’t return to the SB. That’s one together team. SF does look good to, but they have more question marks than Seattle.
The Bronco’s look poised to kick ass too. With the flag bullshit they are putting on safeties, Manning should score 100 points a game.

didnt care to revisit, but brought it up

Rex is a QB killer. How many QB’s has the Jet’s had under Rex? And they want to go with Geno, well good luck. I think they should start Vick. He’s waaaay better than Geno. But the Jet’s will have an awesome defense. They always seem to get that right.

The Jets offense is a QB Killer…I was of the notion that Vick should start, and I know I shouldnt get too happy but Geno looks very good, as do Decker and Amaro…I am really impressed with what I have seen

Rex has had only 2 QBs Sanchez and Smith.

The Jets have half of a great defense.

The have the worst secondary in football.

Richard Sherman is Madden 15 cover guy.

Will the curse hold true this season?

Since he plays for Seattle and since there’s history of guys getting hurt after making the cover, I feel it’s somewhat relevant. If he curse holds true, Seahawks fans will sure as fuck care.
