You know its bad when Browns fans start to wonder if your performance is the worst QB performance they have ever seen.

Chances that the Browns totally Cleveland out and send Hoyer packing at the end of the year making the way for Johnny Football to return them to the bottom of the barrel??
Bengals looked awful last night. Just awful.

NFL radio was talking about Hoyer this morning. There point was basically that he’s in a tough spot. Not many teams are going to be interested in him (he’s played well, but his numbers are just okay) and if he stays he’ll have the Manziel thing over his head until he ultimately loses the job to him.

I think he leaves even if it’s for a nominal amount of money. Not sure where though.
Houston? It’s a possibility. I like Fitzpatrick, he’s just not a very good QB. It will be interesting to see how Mallet does. Working with Brady all these years are bound not to hurt.
Is Hoyer really an upgrade to Fitzpatrick though?
Possibly. Its hard to tell what Hoyer really is at this point. His body of work isn’t large enough, he’s still somewhat of an unknown.
Ya I agree, which is another reason why I think his trade/free agency stock isn’t all that great. I don’t think a lot of teams will take a chance on him being the future of their franchise.
True, but if you are the Browns would you really let him go if he takes you to a 9-7 or better record, considering where you have been, in favor of Johnny who is totally unproven and stands a very good chance of being a total bust?? He is the only QB that has been successful in Cleveland in two decades.

I expect him to stay in Cleveland and eventually be replaced by Maziel. I’ve heard possible franchise tag, which I suppose is reasonable (don’t know the Browns Cap situation).

Like I said I think Hoyer is just in a bad situation and it’s not his fault. It’s just how shit has worked out. Anything is possible though. Maybe Jerry Jones trades for Manziel with Romo being hurt time and again?

Derek Anderson in 2007?

The thing about Hoyer that worries me is that he looks 100% reliant on play action. I know that’s a big part of most offenses, but pretty much every downfield throw he makes is on play action.

Maybe that’s all on Cameron and Gordon being out, thus my usage of “worry” and not just outright blasting the guy and saying I want Manziel in there(I don’t, although I don’t know that I trade him either? I’m kind of hoping we can keep Hoyer for another year or two while Manziel remains a project).

I think whether they make the playoffs and how far they get is gonna be a huge factor for Hoyer.
It could be like the Chargers situation in the past. They drafted Philip Rivers because Drew Brees wasn’t really good yet. Of course the following year they go 12-4 under Brees and Rivers sits the bench for the first two years of his career until Brees torn his labrum on the final game of that second season.

Of course the Chargers had a lot more money invested into Rivers than the Browns do in Manziel.

So I’m just going to go out on a limb and say the Raiders beat the Broncos today.

it is my hope that brady gal loses every game for the rest of his career…maybe they will steak another sb by cheating but i doubt it…ELI is the real Manning

Yeah…wtf was I thinking

Bear’s fans loving that Jay Cutler contract right now.

Picks are money this week. The lions, Sanfran and the Cardinals defense had me on the edge of my seat in the fourth quarter. Exciting finishes in those games. You guys think the Cards will be okay without Palmer?

Okay, yes. Super Bowl contenders, I’m not so sure.

I think the Giants regret chanting “Red rover, red rover, send Beast Mode right over.”

Stanton was the first QB Arians picked up. He would have been the starter before Palmer. He knows the system and they won’t change the offense any. Yeah, backup QB’s never win a Super Bowl. Maybe a few (week took over) Terry Bradshaw(7), Roger Staubach(8), Tom Brady(3), Trent Dilfer(5), Jeff Hostetler(15), Jim Plunkett(6), Earl Morrel(SB V), Doug Williams(1st rd of playoffs)
