He certainly has the physical tools and says the right things media wise. He is what seems to be what you need in todays NFL, a quarterback that can use his feet if needed but is a pocket passer. Between the ears may be whats lacking, I dont know. I still think its too early to pull the plug. Im no fucking Kreskin but I said in the beginning of the year this would happen…what a surprise.
Ideally it makes sense to be able to use a backup QB like a relief pitcher and Vick at this stage would be perfect for it and could keep him healthy. Unfortunately it doesent work that way, which is why I thought starting Vick from the beginning would be the prudent thing to do because A - he is the better QB right now, it would help Rex save his job B - He will probably get hurt, putting Geno in then for an injury and not sub par play can help his confidence.
Mo Claiborne gets told he is losing his starting job, gets pissed, erupts, leaves facility. Comes back later and talks to Coach Garret and participates in team activities today.
I am actually slightly pleased by this. It shows fire, he should not have left, but I am excited by the passion. We got payers on this “shitty” defense that will flip the fuck out if they are removed from the starting squad, that says something

Finally a D lineman that is not a journeyman or someone off the street.[/quote]
If Spencer can be close to his playing level from a few years ago, watch out.
I like this team. I like our players, coaches, owner, and gm. Let’s see what they do Sunday night in the lights. Go Cowboys!

My favorite part about that is that Yahoo is running an article that I read mere minutes ago about him flipping out. Of course, per Yahoo, they omit the portion about him coming back and making amends.
Yeah. He admitted he was wrong for leaving. He addressed the team. And the Cowboys are going to discipline him internally. I can’t help but love the passion.

Every Thursday night they make me hate the NFL a little more. How can they say that one of Niles Paul’s football moves was protecting himself, then leave the flag for hitting a defenseless receiver? Either its an incomplete pass and you can call the penalty or its complete and you pick the flag up. It was a brutal hit but he lowered his shoulders and his head into it. What the hell was that? And where the hell did the Giants come from, and where the hell did Kirk Cousins leave his head last night?

100% Carey totally contradicted himself, he said Niles paul defended himself and then the next sentence he said it was a hit on a defenseless receiver W T F! If anything I believe the two defenders hit each other harder.
Eli’s demise has been very very pre-mature, his O line is giving him enough time to throw with the combo of these quick west coast passes. They should have won last week too. The NFC east is up for grabs

There were a couple bad calls and most weren’t even in the Redskins favor like the TD that we somehow intercepted when it didn’t stand.
That was about as bad as I’ve ever seen a secondary play. Every time the shitty interface came up with all the green for Eli’s completions I wanted to break my own TV. Captain Kirk came back down to reality last night in gloriously disgusting fashion. I like Kirk but as I’ve been saying to my terribly fair-weather friends, he is backup for a reason. I hope and pray we can get RG3 back healthy and up to speed so we can field a team that is worth watching.

I dunno, I still think you are a better team with Cousins. Gotta remember that was start number 6 for him. Going to be some growing pains. RG3 better player but Cousins makes them a better team if he can continue to grow.
Didn’t the Skins get that interception? Assuming you are talking about the one that Meriweather dislodged from Randle that was caught by the LB on the one?

I said that all year last year. Eli played bad yes, but so did the O-line, the RB’s were non-existent, and Cruz forgot how to catch a ball. Cruz still hasn’t remembered how to catch a ball, but the O-line is playing much better, Eli isn’t throwing half his passes from his back, and the Williams kid is a draft steal plus Jennings is extremely talented.

We may be a better team currently with Kirk rather than an awkward RG3 at the helm but a few more losses and this season is a wash anyway. And our next few games will probably set that up (SEA, ARI, SF). There is still plenty of time for this team to turn it around but I’d prefer to win or lose with RG3 and I’d rather he get in there and get time to learn the new style so he can work out the awkwardness. Long term RG3 is easily the better play.
My wording was a little confusing. I was referencing that play- it should have been a NYG TD rather than an interception as he had possession.

Maybe the Skins should just let Cousin’s play the year out, let RG3 get as healthy as possible, and then trade Cousins for some picks or something?

I will give them that play because I though it was debatable. Whatever the call on the field had to stand. Have to disagree with you on RG3. Long term Cousins is easily the better play because you will be lucky if you RG3 for one full season at any point in his career. RG3 is incapable of staying healthy long enough to become a franchise QB. Players like RG3 are short term answers for bad teams which I don’t believe the Redskins are. They have a lot of very talented pieces in place, they just didn’t play like it last night.

Lets not forget the Penchant Eli has for making Tight Ends big time players …Larry Fucking Donnell looks like Jimmy Graham.
He did the same for Jake Ballard, Kevin Boss and even Martellus Bennett.
Every QB needs time, if given the time Eli will kill you.

you are totally right, and that was in an offensive system that didn’t utilize tight ends heavily. Now that is not the case with McAdoo and Donnell is getting peppered with targets.

Thats right, Jeremy Shockey used to bitch and moan about not being involved in the offense enough
