The RG3 trade gave the Redskins a QB that can’t stay on the field, and is outplayed by his backup who was taken in the same draft in the late rounds.
The Rams got a starting d-lineman, o-lineman, linebacker, running back, cornerback, and reciever.

The last time I looked it was the GM’s job to bring in talent. Yes, he has made some poor choices. So has every other GM in the league.
Name me one move Jerry has made that is worse than the RG3 trade. I got a hint for you, you can’t fucking do it
How about switching from a 3-4 to a 4-3 defensive and picking up NO defensive players in the first few rounds of the draft OR picking up any free agents.
JJ has decimated the defense on his endless quest to be a high scoring marketing machine. Yes he has upgraded the OL and I am thankful for that part, however a good GM does both. Not upgrade one side of the ball at the cost of the other side.
Before I address all of this, I would like to ask. Do you think what you described and the current overcome is a bigger GM mistake than the RG3 trade?
Yes I do.
RG3 has yet to prove if bust or not. Injury doesnt count yet for bust. If he comes back this year and gets them to the playoffs like he did his first year then what?

Ya, but there was no way they could know he’d be hurt. I mean he did look pretty damn good before the first injury. To me that’s not a mistake that’s an unfortunate occurrence.
I think Cousin’s will be a good qb too though.

Sure I think the Redskins over-bought RG3, I thought so then, but JJ’s overspending on flash players and underspending on role players has cost him time and time again. Collectively his decisions have been much worse than the RG3 trade.
The RG3 trade is a bust.
“For the Redskins to get the equivalent value from RGIII as they spent acquiring him, he must produce at least as much as Tom Brady.”
RG3 could not carry Tom Brady’s jock.

That’s funny that you say that. RG3 had a injury history before entering into the NFL.
If he comes back this year, after watching the way the Redskins started moving the ball with Cousins, he might not get back on the field?

I completely agree. They gave up a d-lineman, o-lineman, running back, linebacker, receiver, and a corner. All of them starting players in the NFL, for RG3. Come on man!

Jones passed on Johnny Football this year, and took an o-lineman. A damn good o-lineman btw

He came very very close to drafting Manziel. What was described by Dent did not happen. The card was not taken away from Jerry. That is a lie.

It’s true. And Jerry is still mad about it. He didn’t want the lineman.
No one took the card out of Jerry’s hand is what I am saying. Jerry Jones, Dallas Cowboys owner, refutes report that son Stephen Jones took Johnny Manziel draft card out of his hand
regardless of what actually happen on draft night, i’d be more than willing to bet jj would give up a first rounder for john football, and i really hope he does.
I would be happy giving up a first rounder for him, just not 2 of them. And only if that 1st rounder was a pick in the 17-32 range

Well then its not surprising you think JJ is a good manager.
Thanks man.

Johnny Handoff is not worth a third round pick, much less a first. It would make a lot of sense that JJ would try to get him because he likes to try to sell tickets and is apparently content to lose. As long as he is in control Dallas is a mediocre ball club and will never be anything more.

Ahhhhhhh… I missed watching the game but obviously saw the highlight. I just feel bad for the poor kid now. 24yrs old and when the media isn’t blasting him his body is getting broken. And then the “fans” blast him.

I have to sadly agree. JJ is not a good GM. How do I know that? Well because since Jimmy left he is a straight up .500 GM. Period. Blame all you want, have all the rose colored glasses on you want. But the fact of the matter is we have been in the middle of the pack and will stay in the middle of the pack until he dies.
He can make millions in oil and the Cowboys Brand, but as far as fielding a Super Bowl team. Never going to happen.

When he was at Baylor what significant injuries did he have that prevented him from playing?
