Damn Flacco. A pass he shouldn’t have thrown. Too much hang time on it.
Too much hang time? LOL. That reminds me of that scene in Major League “too high, too high”
His mistake was not “the hangtime” LOL, it was he didn’t think the safety was in position he got locked in on the receiver, safety came over the top and made the play. Just like he got locked in on the receiver on the crossing route pick by the safety. Too much hang time.
Watch it again. The ball had a lot of hang time under it. The receiver easily had him beat, but the ball was a little too late and a little too much air under it. I think he saw the safety but thought he could get it there before the safety did. I mean the safety was standing right there in the middle of the field.
I’ll pay more attention the next highlight I watch. Like USMC said, he could have gone outside shoulder with it, it was a decently long pass, he wasn’t going to put it on a rope.
I think the corner was in position to make an outside shoulder throw a bad choice, maybe draw a flag, so would have been better obviously.
But, take the safety out of the play and he had his guy in stride. He looks off the safety for a second early in the play he has six. He locked onto his receiver and the coverage started out where the safety shouldn’t be there and he didn’t see him. He had the same thing happen a couple series before on his other pick. They were too really bad throws that are all on him, his receivers couldn’t even do anything to help him on those plays like turning into db’s.
Flacco should have kept taking the underneath from the Pats, they were playing a soft zone with a single safety. He did not need to go down the field, not at that point.
I think the Panthers defense is going to keep the game close.
I thought they did for most of the game. I really thought this was going to be Cam’s breakout game into the next level. I was wrong about that one. Not surprised though.
I don’t like this move for the Bills. They have a defense that Rex can win with, but they don’t have a QB. They don’t have a QB and they are bringing in Rex Ryan, makes me scratch my head a little.
That was the first game I’ve attended in the new stadium. My ears are still ringing and I was almost deaf after the game. And the stadium itself is absolutely stunning. My thoughts are, whichever team wins today is going to have their hands full next week.
By the way, that isn’t fire-works smoke, that’s what the air looked like all night (it wasn’t really raining). It was like the fog of war just kept rolling off the Puget Sound and up and into the stadium. It was so cool.

It’s a bad move. Huge mistake. There is absolutely nothing to be gained (and plenty to be lost) on the defensive side of the ball. He won’t keep Schwartz, and that’ll make 5 DCs in 5 years. Already saw this team under the Ryan style 3-4 blitz happy defense under Pettine last year. It’s a bad move. Best case scenario he hires Trestman as OC, and if that makes for any improvement at all I doubt it will cover the regression of the defense. You gotta score a lot more points when you start get torched on defense trying to be a fancy pants. Worst part is next year’s schedule is weak, so it’ll seem like a way better idea this time next year than it really is.
Fuck I hate being a Bills fan. Whole front office needs to be tossed over the fucking falls without so much as a barrel. Was expecting better from the Pegulas.
I believe It. Sounded loud as hell just watching on tv / listening on radio. Crowd is impressive over there. Reminds me of what it used to be like over here way back when.
Cowboys are the better match up vs the Seahawks imo, but I also think the Packers beat the Cowboys today.
Late subs / declarations yesterday in Pats game are classic Belichick. Guy exploits every little thing he can, and that’s just one of the reasons why his teams are so tough to beat. If the Seahawks go all the way I wanna see them play the Pats just to see what he’s got up his sleeve for them.

I agree with your assessment. Seattle’s front line of the defense is their weakest defensive link right now due to injuries, and Dallas has a very good O line. I still think Dallas is going to have their hands full if they win.
