He can stay confused. Cowboys are going to Green Bay
I mean really the best course of action for you and any Cowboys fan here is to say, “Yeah, the refs boned the Lions on that call, but that’s just part of it.” I know you defended the call earlier and that last statement wasn’t really a defense of it, so maybe you have backed off of thinking that picking up the flag was anything more than a total fuck up on the refs part.
There are bad calls or missed calls all the time in every game. That wasn’t the deciding play in the game. Several key plays after that play. I could give a shit about that play. I think they made the right decision in picking up the flag, should have explained. The Cowboys weren’t given the game. They kept fighting, came back and won that game. Goodbye Detroit, next up Green Bay
I agree with this mostly, except that was a bad call, and some bad calls break your back more than others. Announcing the penalty, starting the chains moving, and then just picking up the flag had to feel like a real kick in the crotch.

But, ya, Detroit didn’t do what they needed to do to win and they rolled over and played dead after the momentum shifted. And the call wasn’t the Cowboy’s fault, bad calls happen, and you have the play the hand you are dealt.

Cowboys fans are pretty bad man, just as bad as Steelers and Pats fans. No matter how butt hurt people get hurt by this statement, but Cowboys are still Americas team, they still lead in sales as a sports franchise in all sports. Do NOT EVER go on the Cowboys website and go to their forums, Those fuckers be crazy.

<-------Cowboys fan, but not drinking the kool-aid
Na, the Boys are Jerry Jones team. The Packers are the true America’s team. Not even a Packers fan but what is more American than being owned by your fans.
I see your point, but there are very, very, very few Packers fans nation wide. I have been in places all over this nation and you will find really two types of fans.
Those who love the Cowboys
Those who hate the Cobwoys.
I have just always taken issue with the whole America’s team thing. And I don’t really think the Packers are either, just the closest thing to one.

But to your point about Cowboys fans, how can you still consider yourself America’s team if you cant even get your own fans to show up enough where you aren’t getting booed and having to deal with crowd noise in your own stadium?
That is every stadium man, the prices of tickets are pushing the common fan from going. Its cheaper to go to Twin Peaks and watch the game. They still consider them America’s team again due to annual gross sales. Period.

They equate that with fans nation wide.

Anyway I know there are very few fans on here that has been made clear years ago. But I do like these threads cause we get a better cross section of non-rabid fans.
Gross team sales was brought up some years ago to give other teams and fans a chance to say the Cowboys aren’t America’s Team. The Cowboys are America’s team because Tex Schram and Tom Landry made them America’s team. They are America’s team because there are more fans of the Dallas Cowboys than any other team. If you say you don’t like them, I challenge you to really think about it and you will find that you have been lying to yourself this whole time and that you are really a fan.

I am looking forward to it, but I’m a little pensive. I don’t like playing a supposedly shitty team with nothing to lose based on the spread and losing record that happens to match up pretty well with the favorite. I really don’t want to see a close game, I want a fucking blowout.

I really think Pete has done a great job getting them ready week in and week out, and they are about as healthy as they have been all season. Getting Max Unger back at center I think is huge. The line never seems to click like it can when he’s out.

And by the way, this isn’t really an opinion. Fact is, picking up the flag once the sticks had been moved and the call had been made was a bad decision. It isn’t even debatable.

You could say that they never should have thrown the flag and that would be fine. You could say that they should have conferred before moving the sticks and picked it up before making the call and that would have been fine. But what happened on the field was one of the single worst officiating blunders of all time, and it greatly changed the complexion of the game. Where it ranks on the list of all time goofs is really the only debate.

Seattle’s opponents scored 39 total points against them the last 6 games of the season. I think they are gelling at the right time and with Max Unger back on offense our chances look pretty good.

Who are you referring to?
Not you.
Anyone who says they are not a fan of the Cowboys
So everyone is a closeted Cowboys fan?? Really???

And by the way, they are “Americas Team” because Bob Ryan called them that in a highlight film in the 70’s and the name stuck. Don’t make it more grandiose than it really is dude.
lol this could get interesting. JB you sure you want to tussle with the “one” true Dallas fan, MBdix?
He thought (possibly still thinks) Johnny Manziel would be successful in the NFL, I think I’ll be alright. He will eventually descend into rabid fandom nonsense and I will probably become irate but it’ll be ok, I like arguing with extreme fans because they always inevitably say something that you can make them look idiotic with.

It’s either this call or the jacked up Pitt coin flip.
Superbowl XL was the worst.
