I got Artem Morozov, some rowing guy from Ukraine that I’ve never heard of
Benjamin Didier Hennequin,Cool beans.

My moment, was American Aly Raisman floor exercise getting the gold (as part of the team) on the floor exercise.

This is filmed from the crowd, not the NBC stuff, so you can hear the crowd.

She used a Jewish folk song for her routine and you can hear the Israeli team in this video singing (drunkedly, because we suck and have been eliminated from pretty much everything). It’s pretty f—king funny.

Anyway, we Jewish folk don’t exactly have a lot of great athletes, let alone Olympic gold medalist, so this was cool, even if she is a Yank.

(Her parents are also funny and apparently Reddit stars because they freaked out.)

Hows the coverage in Israel? Our American coverage is the absolute worst.

Primarily BBC. They take unmitigated glee at bashing the USA. I’m pissed off for you.

You and I can no longer be friends. Christine Girard’s performance has “save until I erase” status on my dvr.

Hey I didnt say I didnt enjoy Americas Hat do good either. She did great.

Im watching the Judo event right now and theres just no doubt in my mind that some of these events are rigged. A massive German guy dominated a smaller Russian and the Russian won by decision. Bullshit!

That was probally the most emotional I’ve ever gotten when it comes to sports. Young Lu’s Injury and Old Lu’s EPIC C&J. Im going to take off to the gym right now and pound some shit. Im so inspired and determined now. I wish I could have watched it at my office. It would have been epic.
My jaw dropped when I saw Big Lu overhead squatting 204kg. Superhuman. That was some inspiring feat of strength right there. The ladies 69kg A category was just exciting too. So much tension. The young Rim from North Korea was just such a beauty to watch.

Yeah I saw that too.

Usually the judges based their decision on who had the most attacks and the German guy was doing most of the work, even though during golden score, he was practically gassed out.

I still don’t get what they based their decision on. The Russian guy was lazy as fuck. You would think with your country Primer watching your fight, you’d at least try to work your ass off.

I think he should have at least been warned during the Golden Score.

Ah well, he ended up winning a Bronze medal after all.

He should have gotten the Gold. As soon as I saw Putin in the crowd I knew that Russian guy was going to place higher than he should have.

I don’t give a shit what anybody says…Ping Pong is NOT a sport. And it’s Ping Pong, not “Table Tennis”

Oh brother, the Russian basket ball team has NO chance. Not a single black guy.
Man it’s looks so different than what I am used to. It’s very mechanical, no flow or swagger.

The Indiana Pacers didnt have any black guys in their team and they made it to the playoffs last year.

Best. Lift. Ever!

Silver weight lift by Triyatno Triyatno. British commentators went completely nuts, they thought it was awesome. What a fight to get the lift! On BBC you could see how he was overcome with emotion and hugged his coaches. Spectacular sight. Bronze last time, silver this time.

Womens gymnastics final was fantastic. The Flying Squirrel NAILED IT. Holy Moses she’s a smiley person.

Catch some of the highlights if you can, Douglas, the top Russian and the Romanian(smoking hot) pulled off some unbelievable sequences

Not that I disagree with you, but Putin is a legitimate badass when it comes to Judo.

Not related, but this picture came up when looking for Putin Judo picture.

How embarassingly wimpy.
