Not to mention that my Sharks won a game!
Well a broken watch is right at least twice a day!

Why don’t you get to work on a haiku about the beat down that’s coming the Avs way.

I actually LOL’d @ lanchefan’s comment. I could see this series going either way, although it seems the Sharks have pretty much carried the play through the first 2 games. The Avs are stingy though and I don’t see them just going away. I could be wrong though…

The Avs have a ton of young talent and nothing to lose, and that’s the scariest type of team to face in the first round, especially when they are the lowest seed and have a chance to knock of the top team in the west.
The Sharks have been supplying most of the pressure, but that doesn’t really matter because the bounces have been going the Avs way.
I will have no fingernails by time this series is over.
I would say the bounces went the Sharks way based on how each period ended.
But if the Sharks are going to win the series Nabokov is going to have to do better in net, giving up 5 goals on 17 shots is not going to win any titles.
And for my Avs, they have to start clearing the puck better. The inability to clear the defensive zone and take care of the puck was the key factor to the goals that tied the 2nd and 3rd periods.
Look for the refs to try and reign in both teams chippy play.

I couldn’t agree with you more, Nabby has been our Achilles heal in the playoffs, and he either needs to step it up or get off the ice.

So far, it looks like nabby has stepped it up in the first two periods, great blocks. The sharks just have to score…

I’ll get to work on that haiku about the beatdown the Sharks are getting!
All in all tonights game was very tight, although I’ll admit I didn’t get to see much of it.
But still only 17 shots on goal for the Avs? Thank God Anderson was standing on his head tonight!

Wow, I never thought the Sharks would actually beat themselves, I think we are seriously cursed.
Anderson played out of his mind and deserved the win, it just would have been nice if we didn’t actually win it for him.
Doesn’t whine anymore? Is he finally mature after being captain for 3 years? Who’s to say… Ovechkin is the only one I personally like of that bunch. Talent is great, but I love his fire and overall joy of being where he is and playing the game. Plus he’s a very physical player, which I like seeing in superstars.
The final straw for me not respecting Crosby at all came when he purposely didn’t shake hands with Lidstrom after the Pens won last year in the Finals. Absolutely no class.
Ovechkin is to Pittsburgh hockey fans what Ray Lewis is to Steeler fans: we’d love him if he played for us, but we hate him because he doesn’t and he’s good.
Crosby has also been a lot more physical lately. Just ask Alfredsson. He’s not going to lay a lot of thundering hits on people, but he can bang in the corners and fight for the puck with the best of them.
Bruins lead the series 2-1! That was one of the most intense and physical games I have ever seen, and to watch those two goalies play is the icing on the cake - Absolutely incredible.
edit: p.s. Vladimir Sobotka is playing like a beast.
Alright, the Red Wings looked much better today. That’s more like what I’m used to watching from them. More or less dominated the game and never looked phased even on the penalty kill. Now if they can just stop taking silly penalties they’ll be set.

X2
I can’t believe Brodour is letting in these slappers from so far out. Briere’s shot didn’t look like his D was in the way either. Nice to see Jeff C get a couple. His foot is still swollen and he doesen’t have his legs back yet from the lay-off but it’s better each day.
How about Carcillo, I love his nickname on the team, Carbomb lol, it’s even on his sticks.
