I really hope revis just sucks it up and comes back with his original contract or that the Jets do what it seems like they are going to and stick to their guns, not give in to his demands and he sits on his ass this season… The JETS dont give in to terrorist demands!!!
anyone else watching the Monday Night Live on ESPN? How absolutely terrible was that Terrel Suggs piece? gheeeeeeeeeey
Revis won’t come back he just gave up $20 million over his last two years. The Jets should pay the man or lose him.
Right now I’ll say the Jets don’t go past the division play offs.
Al Davis is a horrible old paedo.

what do you mean they should pay the man or lose him? He is under contract so they are/were paying him… Its not the Jets fault that this year of his contract is the least amount of money. He agreed to it and signed the contract.

[/quote]I mean they should pay him or risk him fucking off when he gets to FA. He is the best DB in the NFL and will look for a huge pay day. His ignoring of the potential $20million shows he is willing to hold out for his money for a while. To make him play on under his current deal is short sited and will back fire I believe.
Preseason football is a ridiculous cock-tease. I mean it’s football, but the level of play is pretty poor, you barely get to see the legit players, and nothing ever gets accomplished. BRING ON THE REAL SEASON, and get rid of this unnecessary length preseason BS.

its not very short sited when he still has 3 years left on his deal. If he sits out they wont have to pay him and he’ll waste 3 years of his prime by not playing football? I dont think so. I’m tired of these primadonas who are still under contract for multiple years but want to restructure their deals too early for more money.
Let him hold out. Revis is trying to strong arm his way into an inflated contract before the new collective bargaining agreement that could/would more than likely contain pay scales that wouldnt allow him to get as much as he could now.
Jets should play hardball and call his bluff.
^As a avid & sometimes rabid Jets fan, I agree w/this 100%. He signed a contract, pure & simple. Play it out & than come talk to me. The Jets aren’t obligated to do a damn thing for him.
He’s also going to find out that NFL fans & especially Jets fan can be fickle. Hero one day, zero the next. If he doesn’t show up, the love for him will be gone like a Greene break away.
Does anyone listen to WFAN and Mike Francesa? If so, I seriously want to punch him in the face man is he a Jet hater

I had to turn back to NFL network, shit like that is the reason I stop watching ESPN. Sorry that was very fucking ghey and I cant believe he actually let them paint that shit on his face.
Okay I have to bitch a little bit. I live in Texas, Houston to be precise. No FUCKING local channels showed the Dallas game last night. It is not like a Texans game was going on at the same time. So they would rather show bullshit like Big Brother and So you think you can dance instead of the DALLAS Fucking COWBOYS. Just pisses me off, so I cant go to the website today or NFL.com. Cause I am recording the game off NFL network and will watch when I get home. /rant
^If the Steeler game isn’t on TV I turn on the PC and go to cbssportsline.com and stare at a little mini football field and get my fix that way. The refresh button gets a workout thats for sure. When your team has the ball there is a yellow bar glows as it follows the play as they advance down the field and I find my self shouting at the screen “glow you fucking bitch!” lol. The longer the play the longer it glows…it’s sad.

LOL. For the regular season I have Directv football package. I get all the games. Worth the $140. But the preseason I dont, really not a big deal, I can go home tonight and skip the commercials which I really hate anyway. I watched the first half of the Panther/Ravens game. Man serious nut hugging on Clauson, I thought Jaws was going to go down and blow him at half time. He had one decent throw.
DJHT, post after you watched the game. Lots to talk about! I don’t want to ruin anything for you. None of my friends are Cowboys fans (they all caught the ghey) so I’m glad some people on here are too.

I will, the wife has to work this weekend, so I will get on here. Normally this is just the week day work site for me.

Sounds good.
I don’t think anyone has brought this up yet, but watching SportsCenter this morning they were talking about Michael Turner. What do yall expect from him? If he stays healthy he is animal, and the Falcons are a lot more dangerous. I have pretty high expectations for him, and I can’t wait to see him play. So many exciting RBs in the league now.

On my 4 hour commute the other day was listening to Brian Baldinger from Falcons camp. He was talking about last year Turner was having hangover effect from the previous year. He had so many carries in 08 that post season took him to long to recover. So when he went to camp 09 he was not as in good of shape. This year he is primed and ready and healthy. There are a lot of good RB’s for sure, has to do with most teams go to a two back system now. IMO there will never be another Smith, Sanders or Peyton.

Thats a really interesting point, would have never crossed my mind. I am a huge fan of the two back system, I think not only is it better for the athletes, but it makes the games more entertaining. Never is a long time, but I think there wont be another stud of the likes of Smith, Sanders, and Peyton for a while. I went to a football camp my freshmen year of HS and Mark Ingram was there, even then he was a monster. I have really high hopes for him (lifelong Bama fan) and I think he has phenomenal potential, but not the likes of those guys. We shall have to wait and find out. I sure hope we get to see some guys like them.
DJHT, have you read “Boys Will Be Boys”? It is about the Cowboys glory years, goes into a lot of detail on all the partying and locker room antics. I highly recommend it. Living in Texas some of this stuff might be old news to you.
Charles Haley was insane.

No have to call Doogie, he is on T-Nation here, I think he read it. I can down load it to my Nook tonight and read it next week. I am a UT fan so I do not like Saban, Bama is fine with me. Ingram will be a stud no doubt, but with the movement to a passing league I just dont see the NFL going back to a one horse backfield. IMO LT was the last of the backs in this mold.

I read somewhere that he’s dropped fifteen pounds which should help. It’s a pretty fine line for a RB and their ideal weight. Five pounds either way and you can go to shit.
Gayle Sayers is my favorite runner. He might not have been a punisher but man from the footage I’ve watched over the years he was so gracefull, not exactly a football term but it fits.
Sanders…what can you say. A guy I used to work with new a guy who owned a peeler bar in Detroit and after every home game Barry would be at his favorite table 1/2 after the game. He used to joke to him(Barry) “I think you ran faster to get here than on the field” lol.
