2010 NBA Playoffs

I also agree that there were a lot of ticky tack fouls called this game. I dont think that will happen again but that works in both teams favors.

I did not see that. 26 and 0 for Kobe? And I thought I knew all stats. I hopefully can look forward to the day in the near future when the Lakers win the series (hopefully) where I can tell drewh “howz my ass taste???”. Let’s see if anyone gets the reference.

Damn good game. The Lakers looked ready. Even with the Allen’s getting into foul trouble, there was something “off” about the Celtics, and it was more than just the Lakers [admittedly awesome] defense. When Pierce hit got the block and 3-point play on the other end with a minute and change to go they showed his face. He looked more than pissed about this one game. He almost looked worried. This is a much better Lakers team than '08, and this is a not as good Celtics team. If they don’t come out and make game 2 a grinder, this series will be over quickly.

agreed. I think if the Lakers come out and play the first half of this game 2 like the played in game 1 the Celtics will fold up shop in the 3rd quarter and just wait to go back to boston. Another game like last nights and the Lakers will have the Celtics mentally crushed IMO.

Does anyone know how much did Kobe sit out the second quarter? I had a feeling it was a lot, but it could be my lack of sleep.

Exactly what I was saying, they looked completely demoralized. When they showed, I think it was in the 3rd quarter, Kobe hit a tough shot and they showed Peirce and his head was down with his face in his hands. When I saw that I was pretty surprised, they looked like they realized the lakers are a better team yesterday. Hopefully they snap out of it, because I want Celtics to try to come back stronger so the Lakers can check them again and really try and break their spirits.

I did not see the relentless thug Celtic team I’m used to yesterday.

Nobody is commenting on Pau Gasol’s amazing game??? Kobe was great but Pau really impressed me. There were a few instances where after plays or in between shots I saw Pau slap away Celtic players hands or push them off of him. I think he was making a statement yesterday and he sure as hell made it.

He didn’t come back in til about 7:30 ish on the clock. I remember being quite surprised that Phil kept him out for that much of the quarter because at that point the game was still very much a back and forth 2-4 point contest.
