This is one of Kobe’s best close out series games I’ve ever seen him play. I can’t believe the last 4 shots he made where he single-handedly beat the Suns by himself when the game was totally going the Suns way. He had 2 people in his face, twisting acrobatic fall away jump shots. Unfeakinbelievable!!!
It’s cracking me up that Charles Barkely was just in awe of his performance post game show when just about a month ago he was saying Kobe was washed up.[/quote]
uh huh
celtics in 5.

I know. It must be hard for the Lebron lovers to see this level of excellence from Mr. Bryant right now. It threatens your foundation of Lebron love. ![]()

I love that you predicted this because you’ve been so wrong on every other series involving the Lakers I’m predicting the exact opposite is going to happen; Lakers in 5.
The funny thing is, I hate the Yankees. But I can usually predict how series are going to go with some level of accuracy and end up picking the Yankees to win a series even though I can’t stand them. I don’t let my bias affect what I think is realistically going to happen.
You’re prognostications involving the Laker series predictions have been, and continue to be, a freaking joke. All bias, no reality.
A. I though Kobe was better than Lebron up to last year.
B. I don’t care enough about either player to get offended over an opinion.
C. This Celtics team has never lost a series, EVER!!!. I picked La over OKC and Utah, but as a Suns fan I went with my team.
D. Rondo
E. Post the pic drew I gotta a lot of shit to do and don’t wanna search for it, but I’ll have it up at least by tomorrow.
A. Lebron’s sitting at home, nuff said. All time greats are measured by post season greatness. Pleeze…enuff on this guy. Hasn’t accomplished shit yet…
B. I was needling you since you can’t seem to bring yourself to give Kobe any credit where credit is due. His playoff run has been out of this world. Read, see, hear what just about everyone is saying.
C. This aint the same Celts team of 2 years ago (No Posey, Garnett is older, not as quick laterally, Pierce is older and has Ron Artest guarding him now, the only one who is better is Rondo and the Lake Show has proven that they can still win with quick point guards against them in each series. The revenge factor is fierce with the Lake Show right now, the list goes on and on…For you to say Celts in 5 shows how clueless you are. Even if you said Celts in 7 or something I’d say ok; but to say Celts in 5 shows you have no idea what you are talking about. So the Celts are going to win 1 of 2 in Boston and then win the next three on their floor??? Riiiight. Okay then.
D. Rondo is the only improvement for the 2010 Celts over the 2008 Celts. Won’t be enough…
E. Can’t wait. It will be symbolic for you to have this avatar as your predictions on the Celts in 5 look so wrong…

here you go!
Technically you can’t really blame me for picking the Suns to win, in hindsight. They played very good basketball after game 2 onwards and nearly pulled off game 5 which would have put em up 3-2. Definitely what rand expected. More importantly they exposed the Lakers a lil bit. Its going to be interesting to see how LA responds to a team dedicated to defense.
All eyes are on LA and all the pressure is on them too.
Oh yeah, Phil Jackson needs to activate “the Machine” if the Lakers truly are serious about winning.

They didn’t even take it to a game 7, which would’ve been in LA. Also, the Suns nearly got to overtime in game 5. They did not nearly win game 5.
The team you picked to win lost 4-2. There were no major injuries or any other intervening factors that unexpectedly hurt the Suns. So, technically, in hindsight, it was a silly pick. You could just admit it was a silly pick. It happens.

God Noooooooooooo!!! Freakin idiot. Thank God his contract is up this year so I don’t have to be exposed anymore to The Broken Machine.

Agreed. There was no way in hell the Suns were going to upset the Lakers. The most misleading thing about the Lakers is that they “play down” defensively in particular to any team they play. Games 3 and 4 should never have gone the way they did but that’s the Lake Show for ya. The difference with Boston is that they play really hard every game.
But the Lake Show will definitely rise to the occasion against the Celts. There’s too much at stake and too much motivation not too.

Err wrong answer. Yea phx lost but they played more competitively than any la supporter here thought they would. phx showed the lakers are vulnerable. it was enough of a competitive series assume that if they played another series the outcome may be different.

Uhh, actually it was the right answer. Everyone here predicted it would go 5 or 6 games. It went 6. The Suns played well. The Lakers were and are the better team. The Suns lost. Not really much else to say.
I say Lakers in 7. I really hope Boston loses because Paul Pierce is such a cock bag.

Agreed. He comes off as a delusional douche. The more I think about it, the more I think this goes at least 6. I expect Bryant to have a monster series.

What’s going on drewh??
Kobe Byrant may be better than Michael Jordan, but the public may not ever let him believe it. The unfortunate truth for Kobe is he can never be Michael because he isn’t thought of as likable as Jordan, also the greatest commercial pitchman ever for an athlete. … “Let’s say he does get two more rings,” Tim Legler, the former player and now an ESPN analyst, said recently in a telephone interview. "Even if he doesn’t win any more MVP awards, he will probably approach Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s all-time scoring record. You absolutely can make a valid argument for Kobe being the greatest ever when that happens. “But he will never be revered like Michael Jordan will be revered,” Legler added.
What if LeBron James just isn’t wired to win the way Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan are? In maturity and leadership, James shows his age or personality or both. He’s still only 25, and with one surprising appearance in the NBA Finals, he simply hasn’t had every tangible and intangible ingredient tested as Bryant has. But it also could be true that he simply isn’t nasty enough. … He straps teammates on his back. But sometimes what they need is a kick in the pants. After Sasha Vujacic’s ridiculous flagrant foul made a much tougher night out of a Lakers rout, Bryant was asked how he felt about the trouble Vujacic caused the Lakers. “He’s still breathing,” Bryant said.
