2010 NBA Playoffs

Now we just need the updated medical report on Davis, gonna be an extremely important game 6 for Boston. Obviously for Orlando too, but this Boston roster has been AWFUL closing out series on the road(1-8 I think I heard last night), they definitely don’t want to go back to Florida.

^^ I was gonna comment that they took away the second T but you beat me too it

He’s lucky too cause that might just have saved the C’s… but if he gets one more he could be done for a potential game 7… that would be worst IMO. They CANT lose on friday cause if they do there is no way they’ll win again in Orlando.

but i still think the T’s werent that bad. The refs could have talked to the players pre game and gave them their “cut the shit” warning like they started doing in MMA. They started warning the fighters in the locker rooms about grabbing the fence, blows the back of the head so when it happens in a fight they just go straight to “i already warned you” (kind of off topic but somewhat relevant cause they could have pre warned the players)

I believe I read that the refs walked over to the bench and gave the players a warning prior to the technical.

And wtf is this talk with Cleveland or Chicago picking up Phil Jackson and possibly using that as bait to get Lebron to want to play for him.

If Phil leaves and coaches Lebron, the Lakers vs Lebron battle next year could be EPIC… I can’t imagine how Kobe would feel if Phil left to coach Lebron… I really don’t think he will, but I’ve hear it said more than once now and it’s got me a bit nervous. That would be a tragedy for the Lakers.

On a side note, have you guys looked at the players salaries??? Check out the link, does anyone else find it an incredible waste of money the amount they are paying Adam Morrison?? He makes more than Fisher, Brown, and Farmar? And almost makes what Artest makes. WTF?

Morrison’s still on his rookie contract I believe. As the 3rd pick in the draft [you read that right] you get a pretty big first contract. He actually had a decent rookie season but tore his acl and never really regained his rhythm. His confidence is all but gone.

^ I’m not nervous AT ALL. There’s no way Phil leaves next year to coach another team. He either coaches the Lakers or retires. He can win more championships where he’s at right now. He’s comfortable here. His girlfriend is here. He has nothing left to prove by restarting again. He’s 65 and comfortable. He’s already shot down those reports of being interested in Chicago or Cleveland.

It’s much ado about nothing.[/quote]

Jackson leaving to coach James makes ZERO sense. Not only would he be giving up on potential champs for the next few years, he’d bring the triangle to James and take the ball out of his hands for long stretches, basically rendering James ineffective. James has not proven capable of playing without the ball. In fact, he needs to dominate it in order to get his. That doesn’t work in Jackson’s [well really Tex Winters] system.

I wouldn’t doubt it. It would make sense.

Yeah after he tore his ACL he wasn’t the same, even though it’s been three years. When he was traded to LAL, it was assumed that he would get good PT and Shannon Brown (who also came over with Morrison in the trade) would not get much run, but quite the opposite has happened.

Tex is the man. It’s a shame he hasn’t been voted into the HOF yet.

Yeah I don’t see Phil leaving, as intriguing as it may seem. His gig in LA is too good and would be hard to pass up. Phil will only leave LA when he retires. There is really no incentive for him to go back to Chicago. Additionally, the Bulls franchise treats their former players and coaches pretty bad anyways, so there would be no sense for him to go back and have the chance to be mistreated and cause more problems than solutions.

Jesus tits!!!

Holy Crap!!! What a freakin game!!! Ron Artest at the buzzer!!!

lakers almost blew it.They can’t hold on to leads, They will win game 6 though.

Damn.

^Dude. Give the Suns credit here. They were tough and have been tough starting with game 3 on. I underestimated these guys. They are definitely making the Lakers work in this series. As long as the Lakers win the series, I’m going to have to thank the Suns cuz they are toughening up these guys something fierce. The Suns fought tooth and nail tonight and just wouldn’t stop coming.

You’re not lying. Those three 3’s were intense.

Helluva good game.

Looked like kobeys legs were jelly in the second half

it must really suck to be a suns fan right now.Ouch!!! We’ll see if the suns have balls and win game 6. I don’t think they will… The lakers will blow them out in game 6.

Sure, Artest made the game winner, but he almost lost the game for the Lakers. I’ll never understand why he thinks he should shoot. He gets open for a reason. The Lakers would’ve been much better off keeping Ariza.

At least I gotta watch a great 4th quarter. Man, I just want Nash and Hill to at least go to a finals.

Normally when I post during a series ala Thunder Lakers where I root for the lakers’ opponent the series doesnt usually end up to well for me. However believing in a curse when I post in this thread, lol im not going there.

I still think the Suns can pull off this series. Like I said many times before since the start of this thread, LA Lakers are not going to win the championship. Alvin Gentry is my third favorite coach after Greg Popovich and Phil now. He’s not going to let Game 6 go haywire for the Suns, they will win.

Best thing about LA is the fake tits not the Lakers! C’mon people…
