2010 NBA Playoff Thread Part 2: The Return

The buzz here outside Staples center is unreal. You can feel the energy from the crowd already. The LA Live area outside the Staples center here has been completely redone. They have the ESPN Zone and Rick Fox is one of the announcers broadcasting. There’s Kobe shirts everywhere. It’s like 95 degrees out here. I’m in heaven.

I’m ticked that the file link is greyed out through the browser interface on my iPhone. Otherwise I’d be posting pictures as well. I’ll have to do that tomorrow.

Yo khealism- nice job, man. Nice job. Sendnudeskthnxbro.

Stoked for the game!!!

The energy here is very high. Every seat on the house is taken. Very close game as expected. We have one Boston fan in our section that is just getting hammered.

Musings so far: The Celtics ability to get every call is really irritating. With that, Allen can’t miss and they’re playing great D. Something looks wrong with Bryant. He’s been unaggressive and almost looks like something’s wrong. Shots he normally hits and moves he normally nails look forced and unnatural. Hope he’s ok. Even with Bryant being a non-factor the Lakers are still in this game. If they can play better D, not let the refs get in their heads and Bryant can get going they’ll be straight.

Damn Ray is on fire, just watched him shoot another 3…

I don’t know if it has ever been asked… But every time I watch a lakers home game, I always see this little asian lady. Who the hell is she? I read from some other sites that she always gets into a maybach after the game.

well there goes another jordan record.

Yes, he booing in here most of the half has been persistent and loud. The Ray Allen fake fall when Bryant went past him and got called for the offensive foul was just f’d up. The Celtics are getting a lot of calls on the Lakers home floor. It has been irritating. That being said, the Lakers seemed bored to me and finally woke up the last few minutes of the secnd half. Only down by 6 now, it’s a whole new ballgame. If it wasn’t for Ray Allen, the Lakers would still be winning with as bad as they played.

Kobe has to stay plastered to Ray in the second half. He got way too many open looks.

By Kobe? Which one?

By Allen for 3’s in a half in a Finals game.

Looks like I jumped the gun on Bryant. He was ready to get busy until that ridiculous call with Allen, but still came in and drained a DEEP 3 and got 2 steals at the buzzer. Expect a big second half from Bryant.

Ray Allen is unconscious

Not that this has anything to do with anything, but Doc Rivers seems like a really cool guy. Too bad his team’s gonna lose this series.

Hell ya!!! Lakers back up by 1 after the first couple of plays of the 2nd half!!

Randman, your son will always remember this. I would kill to be at that game and the only thing that I think would be nicer than to be there would be to be there with my son… =)

Yeah he seems cool. I wonder how he’ll fare after the Big 3 move on though, considering he was just an average coach at best with ORL and BOS (except for the two really bad years before getting KG and Jesus).

I’d say he was better than average T. He took most [if not all, can’t remember] of those squads to the playoffs. Could’ve sworn I heard a rumor that he’s leaving after this season no matter what, but don’t remember the source.

Man, I hate to pull the conspiracy theory card, but I’m convinced this game is fixed. Bryant’s been in foul trouble all game, the Celtics get every fucking call, that ball clearly was off Garnett and the Lakers can’t get a break. Either someone wants to extend this series or they want the Celts to win. As I wrote that last line Artest got called for a phantom foul on Rondo. The officiating here is ridiculous.

Well, we’ve got a series.

Aaawwwwwww yeah!

Rajon Rondo is special.
