2010 NBA Playoff Thread Part 2: The Return

So Lakers are kicking ass, but 10 pts in a half from Artest hardly seems like something you can count on for the future, and may even be a bad thing if it encourages him to shoot in game 7.

Disclaimer: haven’t been able to watch the game, only box score

Bye bye perkins!! You vulture looking mothereffer!!!
wow dude the dude is probably done for the series. imagine howd u feel if that happened to you, so close to playing and winning a championship.

go after the team because its the concept you dislike but going after individual players like that? no class.
I dislike Perkins for the person he portrays himself to be.

And where do you get that he’s out for the rest of the season? They just barely announced he wouldn’t be back in tonights game, have they given any indication that he wont play thursday or are you just being dramatic?

I will actually be upset if he doesn’t come back thursday, I want the Lakers to beat a HEALTHY Celtics team. I didn’t hear you or anyone playing the violin for Bynum despite the fact that he’s become almost completely ineffective AGAIN with the championship so close.

Injuries are never cool. As someone that’s dealt with lifting injuries way too much, I wouldn’t wish them on any player, even the ever-annoying pierce/garnett/rondo trio.

I know I predicted this to go 7(and the Lakers to win even), but this isn’t exactly the game 6 I envisioned. At least Ray Allen is shooting better again… DOT DOT DOT

its because the celtics suck and the lakers have been beating mediocre teams in the playoffs. this season sucked. ugly basketball. both sides.

FUCK YEAH!!! What a nasty throw down by Brown!!!

As a die hard hater of all things Boston I do have to say that I like Doc Rivers. I really think he’s a good coach and sees like a good guy

i believe im ‘glogging’

Are you prepping your ass to get fucked tonight? cause the lakers are gonna dominate Boston!!! Fuck Boston. Its the worst city/people/team(s) in the entire US.
Fuck those fucking fucks! (oh and paul pierce is ugly)

Judging another mans looks and you call him ghey.
Knowing if another guy is ugly or not doesnt mean you have teh ghey. come on man

FINALLY! FINALLY FINALLY FINALLY! We get the entire Laker team to show up. We get energy off of the bench and we get Powell and Brown in there. If we get a similar performance in thursdays game I’ll have no worries. What a complete game the Lakers are playing. Seems like they’ve “flipped the switch” (i dont like that saying) but hopefully they keep it in the “ON” position for a couple more days.

Hmm… This game looks just like my prediction! I’m FKN AMAZING!!

Rondo got FKN CLOCKED!! I’m surprised that elbow to the jaw didn’t knock him out. Hopefully the anger doesn’t throw him off his game, Celtics definitely need someone to have an all start performance here in the 4th.

LOUD NOISES!

Yeah, lakers are owning this game. Game 7 better be fucking epic.

Phil jackson should put in Mbenga and lethim play a few minutes. Then after a few minutes he should get into a shoving match with Wallace. They’d both get double T’s and Rasheed would be out for game 7. Looks like Perkins knee is probably jacked (which sucks) but that would mean No Perk and no Sheed for game 7! Talk about a Zen Master move! hahahaha

.greg.

So Garnett wants to knock away every shot taken after the whistle… no big deal, I guess.

But when Odom retrieves the ball and goes for a put back and he decides to give him a push… what a punk move. Show some fucking class.

My girl insisted we are going to this game and that she will have a job soon. I do have a fair amount of savings so screw it, we’re going to game 7.

Yeah i thought that was a questionable move. Especially since he didnt try to block it… That would have been a T and or a flagrant foul. If I was on the Lakers I would try that every time he blocks away a shot like that and see what happens.

If he doesn’t put in Mbenga I’m gunna be pissed. I might even write a letter!!!

Did they announce Perkins wouldnt be back?? I missed that. It looked like he just tweaked his knee, I think Rivers is just playing it safe to make sure they have him healthy and ready to bang in game 7.

No they didnt say anything that I know of but It didnt look good to me… Thats always a shame when a key player gets an injury. Hopefully its not too serious.

.greg.

Oh man i was hoping Mbenga was gonna hit that jumper! The Staples Center was going to erupt!
