Gasol has been one of the most consistent players for the Lakers. He has been having trouble the last 2 games, no biggie, but you can expect him to show up tonight. Kobe always shows up, so you can expect that. Fisher shows up when he needs to, so expect that. Artest always steps up his D when he needs to, expect to see that. Bynum has a hurt knee and may not have a big impact so expect that.

A couple of losses and people don’t know what to EXPECT anymore? This isn’t anything new for the Lakers, expect what you always expect. They got lazy and lossed, their back is against the wall and theyre at home, so expect a win.

It’s not that they lost the last 2 games. It’s how they lost em and how the Celts won them that still has me concerned. Hopefully my concerns are completely unfounded. I like your confidence for sure.

^ Why would you be worried about the way that we lost. If we played as a team, everyone contributed and we still lost, then be worried. Gasol has been off which almost never happens, the ball movement has been horrific, and we were playing in front of the rowdiest and most aggressive crowd its no wonder the only ones who showed up to play were the vets (fish and Kobe).

Like I said, we played like crap and still had chances at winning it. The Celtics are playing great and still have trouble closing us out. We are still looking damn good in my mind.

I feel like Phil Jackson trying to build Randman’s confidence with a pep talk!

Listen Randman, this team knows how to lose they’ve showed us that, we can do this! lol

Alright, you sold me! ;0

Can you people at least give the C’s some credit for there D, even Kobe has said he’s impressed.

Umm…did you read my previous post (couple of posts ago) about saying the Cs defense is approaching 08 levels?

of course Kobe says he’s impressed. Every team and every player does that in press conferences. Thats how they do it in professional sports cause they dont wanna give the other team any “bulletin board material.” Come on now

.greg.

But the Celtics D hasnt been good against everyone. They’ve just been putting in a concentrated effort to stop Kobe. They havent played D on Artest he just is missing wide open shots. Same with Odom and most of the bench players. They only guys the Celtics are trying to D up is Kobe and Gasol to a lesser degree.

I guess thats a byproduct of the lack of production from those other guys. So they just need to start hitting shots. They’re playing good D against 2 of the Lakers and the rest of the guys on the court havent been hitting shots to make them pay.

I’ll give credit to the Celtics all day long. They are one hellofa team, which is why I’m sooo excited to see the Lakers backed in a corner by them. If they had been backed in a corner by any other team I woulda been nervous but not all that excited. Celtics are pressuring the Lakers to perform and I love it!!!

Speaking of giving the opposing teams credit, have you given the Lakers ANY credit in this thread??? You only seem to discredit them and make foolish bets that they will lose. I think it’s about time you gave the Lakers credit. They dominated them in game 1 and made them play tough basketball the other 4 games for some entertaining finals. So can Lakers get some credit or are they not worthy of any such credit from you?

Lmao they’re losing.

LMAO, eh… You forgot to mention what I get if I WIN!!!

Let’s up the stakes shall we! (to prove how confident we are that are team will win)

Loser has to deactivate their T-Nation account… You can re-create a new account as soon as you delete your old one, but your post count goes to ZERO and you are not allowed to use the same name!!!

So there is no confusion, here is the link to deactivate your account…

Now how sure are you that the Lakers lose??
