Hmm… I knoes: Which current star players do you think would make good coaches?
Eh???
Allen Iverson. Casual fridays haha
That’s easy. Number one candidate: Derek Fisher. I’m predicting that he will be a head coach in the NBA within the next ten years.

Dixie we’ll spare you the humiliation but the whole Kobe vs Jordan, Kobe vs LeBron vs everyone else thing has probably over 100 pages combined from the massive Part 1 thread which went to full capacity and some from this one.
Its getting really old and a total waste of time to even begin discussing/debating.
Lets not try again.[/quote]
Ah, my mistake. I didnt read the first thread cause we werent to the finals yet. I was just bored while studyin thought I would go for an epic hijack.

The only star I would think would be a good coach would be Steve Nash. I think his leadership on the floor would carry over nicely to coaching.
Members of the thread,
I am doing my doctoral dissertation on an NBA-related topic, and will construct my survey and distribute it in the next few weeks. If everyone on here would be kind enough to complete it (it will be an online survey) it would be much appreciated. I will provide further details later when the time comes.
Thank you for assisting me in my research.

Bad ass, whats the exact topic gonna be?
Absolutely!
heck yeah. Let us know whats up

Awesome, thank you very much guys, greatly appreciated.
I am comparing how fans keep up with their respective teams through online media, and what services they use (practice videos, interviews, blogs, etc).
today is the day!!! come on c’s take it to them fucking lakers!!! thats what they get for thinking they can turn it off and on when ever they want and walk themselves to a championship. I hope they get blown out tonight and they blow up the team in the summer. Celtics win number 18 tonight, laker fans riot and cry, I collect my money,/thread.
I predict these next couple games come down to Pau Gasol vs KG and the bench. Bynum is out of it and will not be a huge factor IMO, plus the traveling by air and the changing in altitude will not do well for his knee swelling. The Laker bench is usually more productive at home and seeing as how the Celtic bench has been murdering ours I think if our bench steps it up and can compete and Gasol can start playing ball again Lakers take it.
I’m also expecting Kobe to have Jordan-like performances these next 2 games.
I honestly don’t know what to expect from this Lakers team anymore. Who knows.

First you were doubting the Lakers ability to beat the Celtics before the series started, then Whitefire and I had to convince you they are more than capable. Then you saw how they dominated and began predicting Laker victory. Now you don’t know what to expect and seem worried again.

PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER MAN!!! We got this!!

How can you blame me? It’s been a tale of 2 series. The first three games, the Lakers looked dominant (yes, even in the loss when Ray Allen went nuts). Andrew Bynum was moving well and our length was too much for the Cs.
The last two games, the Cs toughness, togetherness, and intensity have increased dramatically and their defense is approaching the 08 level while the Lakers now with a hobbled Bynum look listless and pathetic again. Lamar Odom and Ron Artest look like they’re ready to pack it up and move back to Queensbridge. Gasol has turned into Gasoft again. The Cs have been getting better the last 2 games and the Lakers are getting worse. I’m questioning their intestinal fortitude again.
The only saving grace is that it’s coming back to LA tonight as opposed to the Cs home floor in 08. Which Lakers team is going to show up tonight? Who the hell knows. Again, do you blame me for this question at this point?
I’ll still say Lakers in 7 but I’m not nearly as confident now.
anybody know bynum status?? anything new? i gotta have a scouting report on my enemies.lol
like I’ve been saying… the Lakers will win tonight! Someone out there WILL NOT LET THE LAKERS LOSE… Either it’s Kobe or it’s the Refs. No way this series ends in 6 at the Staples Center.
You guys just watch tonight. This series has had game 7 written all over it since half way through the conference finals. The record is supposed to be 3-2 Celtics right now with the 2-3-2 format.

Your right the Celtics have changed the game… They came to fight. They are playing better as a team, their big 4 are all contributing and Bynum is handicapped. Having said all this they still have not been able to dominate us! They barely beat us in every game they won. Tonight can they bring that same intensity? The same team play? Will the bench continue to contribute?? Even if they do all that, the Lakers bench will be playing better at home, the Lakers almsot ALWAYS step it up when they aboslutely HAVE to, you have said this yourself.
So despite Celtics playing great ball, they have only won by close 4th quarter games, the Lakers have been playing like crap and have managed to stay in there. Now tell me you think the Lakers are going to lace up their shoes today, step on their home court and not make a statement???
The Lakers are the team to beat, they have the ability, and they are backed against a wall (when they play their best), and they’re on their home court. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty fkn excited about this game!!!
