Really, it’s great to watch and be enthusiastic with ANY sport No Doubt… but really… do we take it to the extreme too much

Enjoy the rest of the playoffs boys…
LAL or BOS… great teams and/or great playing should be respected either way.
(still not thrilled with the somewhat biased commentary leaning Lakers way… just my personal opinion…) to all your relief …

I’m out…

I can’t believe that your gonna get the last laugh in this thread.

^^I think this series will go 7. Lakers will not lose 3 in a row to the C’s and will get some help from the 6th man(men… the refs) to make sure there is a game 7. I dont like the NBA conspiracy theory talks (even though I’ve initiated them) cause I’d like to think that the best players/team decide the outcome but as we’ve seen in nearly EVERY GAME THIS SERIES that is not the case… sadly that just isnt the case.

well I guess we can conclude that bynum is irrelevant and that that the c’s have a great advantage now… Also the c’s have never blown a 3-2 lead in the nba finals… ever.

Good game tonight. Boston has shown they are better as a team, while the Lakers need to help Kobe out. As great as he is, he can’t do it by himself.

I want to see the series go seven games, so hopefully the Lakers win game 6.

Anyone know why Shannon Brown didn’t play?
I was wondering the same thing?

And WHY hasn’t Phil tried putting in Powell or Mbenga?? Both of them would be more productive then Bynum, we need some offense and someone who can grab a couple rebounds, anyone would put up better numbers then Bynum is right now. Phil doesn’t trust his bench nearly as much as Doc does and whether it’s founded or not it’s really hurting the Lakers.

But as bad as the Lakers are playing they are still in the game, so don’t get too happy Celtics fans. If you think the Lakers are going to come home and give a half ass effort on their court you’re sadly mistaken. These next 2 games are going to be AWESOME! I really can’t wait to see them battle it out. Still confident that the Lakers take it.

Why can’t I ever find a classy girl like this to bring home to Mom??

The Truth hurts.

(man i’ve been waiting all series to say that)
lolololol

Kobe had that Jordan performance all of the analysts and some of the dudes on here were waiting for. And he did it even with Ray Allen playing GREAT defense. Kobe also figured out how to get around the defense Tony Allen, who in the limited time he had this series, seemed to be able to force Kobe into some tough shots.

Except the rest of the team didn’t do anything. Gasol’s great and I really like him as a player, but he had a terrible game last night, maybe his worst of the playoffs. Bynum did enough as far as presence was concerned, but he didn’t score as well as I’d hoped. In Game 3 where Bynum was a big factor, the Lakers were getting him to score with alleys, and passes where he was extremely close to the rim, and that worked early in last night–then he stopped getting those passes. And he took a couple of bad shots. The whole game was so frustrating to watch.

The referees were their usual overbearing selves, but the excessive calls were admittedly even split this time.

Another thing that bit the Lakers in the ass [NO HOMO]: Rondo was sinking his jump shots. It was the right thing to do for the Lakers to let him shoot, as he’s really bad at jump shots, but they just had the terrible luck of him finally making them. [That, and possibly the extra space he was given when he was further from the net may have made it easier for him to pass.]

Regarding Pierce: I know most are going to blame Artest, and he does deserve some of the blame, but from what observed a lot of the shots he took, especially in the first half were being defended by Lamar Odom, not Ron. The second half Artest came in and did no better-- but I’m still trying to figure out how Odom was guarding him instead of Artest. Maybe the Lakers coaching decided that Pierce was a non-factor and that Artest could guard someone else.

So now that my Lakers in 6 prediction is wrong, I’ll say Lakers in 7. Yeah, I think they’ll get the next two.

Anyone else worried that if Boston comes to LA and Lakers lose there is going to be a pretty serious riot?? No bullshit, we’re talking about a fan base that riots even when we win, imagine if Boston comes to the Staples Center and wins the Championship?!?!

I’d like to be the first to predict that in the off chance that the Lakers lose one of the next 2 games, there will be a serious riot afterwards.

Hmm the colors in the picture are purple and gold, the colors of baby davis’ alma mater LSU…

on a non disturbing side note, andrew raised an interesting point, we could see more riots in LA than rodney king inspired.

on the off chance that the lakers lose?? off chance?? some of you guys are making it seem like its automatic laker victories. The celtics are 2-1 this year against the lakers at staples, and bynum will be worst then ever for game6/7.

on the off chance that the lakers win the series,i’ll lose 200 bucks.Thats more like it.

LMAO, I like how I can pose a question, but instead of focusing on what was asked, you focused on 2 words in my question and turned that into the issue. It is still an off chance because Lakers are still favored to win. As Kobe Bryant put it, “if you told me at the beginning of the year that weâ??ve got two games at home to win a championship, yeah, Iâ??ll take that”.

The only thing that separates the Lakers from a Championship is 2 home games that they have to win. They are still the team to beat and the pressure is on Boston to bring it to a team that has one hellofa at home record. So yes, OFFCHANCE

^^ Yeah good points. Phil Jackson was saying that the series record right now is in line with the Home team winning every game. Lakers still have the home court advantage so they’ve gotta just win two home games in a row just like Boston did. I know each road team has already won a game so that being said its kind of a lot to ask to have the road team win 2 games in the NBA Finals dont ya think?

Its definitely not an automatic LA victory but it is far from a death sentence to go back home for 2 games and need to win both.
