2010 College Football

1 Oregon 8-0
2 Auburn 9-0

Can they make it? I think this could end up being the highest scoring BCS game in history.

whooo and the gators win a nail biter! man after going into the half 21-7 i knew something was gonna happen… and that something was aaron murray… he’s gonna revive the rivalry thats been kinda dead in the last couple years… honestly i can say that the gators played like they were gonna lose and luckily we didn’t…

the defense was way too lax in the second half and the offense couldn’t get anything going after a descent 1st half… i hate playing with our backs against the wall but thats the only time it seems we make plays… sigh but a win is a win no matter how ugly… i hope urban hits the two a days hard and reduces the # of penalties, i swear brantley had so many yds passing cuz of the o-line penalties…

I think they can, and it will be a great BCS title game if those will can win the rest of their games, I dont want to see Bama in the BCS title game.

^ IF they dont win out you are looking at a TCU or Boise in the BCS title game. Oregon is just fucking unreal offense, I mean scoring TD drives in 1:40 min average. How in the fuck is this even possible.

srsly i’d love to see an oregon vs auburn bcs game… auburn can run and throw with the best of them… oregon’s got a sick quick striking offense… could be epic…

And neither one has a defense that could stop each other, I mean it could be a basketball game score. Well at least WNBA.

I don’t think the Auburn offense could keep up with Oregon’s. I also think Oregon’s defense is better than Auburn’s, their stats just get skewed because their on the field so much as a result of their offense scoring so quickly and consistently.

But that is why they play the games.

I would rather see Oregon play Boise State in the title game. I think Boise has the power to keep up, and if they don’t than people can stop ranting about how good the Broncos are when they play 1-2 decent teams per year.

I think Auburn has a better defense than they have shown. You can see sparks of brilliance throughout their games defensively, and if that all clicks I think they will be a little bit like Bama at the end of last year.

WC, I haven’t seen Boise play much this year but do you really think they have the offensive power to stick with Oregon? Thats high praise.

boise has a cupcake schedule… lets be honest… i mean oregon and auburn are playing teams that recruit some of the best talent… its hard to say that boise state deserves a shot…

I don’t think Boise will get a shot at the title schedule too weak. TCU has a better chance if both go undefeated. Oregon looks unstoppable and their schedule is not that difficult. Auburn has a really tough game ahead of them at Alabama. If Alabama wins and then wins the championship game may be enough to get them a title shot.

ESPN has been hyping it lately, so I’ll sound familiar, but that’s how they practice.

I really felt like, at the rose bowl last year, the deciding factor was how many times there was a commercial time-out. Way more breaks than a normal game.

Also, the Oregon defense increased how much it substitutes this year. And it really shows–aside from Allioti’s usual crap bend-don’t-break-fiascos, they look great all four quarters.

^ I know but really awesome to watch, I normally do not enjoy that style of offense. I know UT has run it since the Vince era started but I prefer the pro style. But have to give props to Oregon cause they deliver like I have never seen.

Oklahoma vs. Colorado, something about this game says CO will get the win and the upset.

Ummm, no. OU has lost two games at home since 1999.

One of those was TCU.

Again my point that the top 10 teams wouldn’t have to play cream puffs if fucking media style points were not included in the rankings or we had a +1
I don’t buy that. One year you played for the title after you beat Ohio State in OOC. Another year you got leapfrogged by OU who had played TCU and Cincy OOC while your toughest OOC game was Rice. Never heard the end from the UT faithful.

Sorry man I dont have an influence I dont vote or tell Mack Brown how to run the show. I have said it many, many times on here. Play the game on the field and the winner is the winner. If UT loses then they lose no crying. However it is not this way, it is about style points and perception. Why is D1 football the only sport and division without a 1+?

Well, you play cream puffs in OOC, 1 or 2 really good teams in conference, and the rest is middling to deadwood. Not that much different from TCU’s. FWIW I’d say the Frogs schedule is average too, especially with the disappointment BYU has become in both football and baseball.
I ALREADY SAID HOW MUCH WE SUCK COULD YOU QUIT BRINGING IT UP?
You guys have been worthy adversaries for some time. Hate that you are leaving the conference. Football just seems to be having a down year but whatever happened to your baseball team? Good luck as an independent.

A plus 1 would be a good start, but is not always needed. My beef is access to begin with. The BCS is nothing more than a revenue sharing scheme, but based on perception sty;e points you will never see the Big East or ACC in the title game under the current system.

I’d like to see a 64 team playoff. Limit the season to 10 games, no more 1AA games. In Ut’s case maybe instead of beating Ulala 63-7 in week 1 you beat Sunbelt Conference Champ Troy 42-14 in a home game in the first round of the playoffs. Th4en the next week you play TCU in the Alamo bowl. The last 2 rounds would be at BCS bowls.

I think it is interesting but sad that our baseball team has no trouble getting worthy competition to play in Fort Worth (Soggy Burrito and Wayne Graham are other stories), but rarely will you see a big name team at our football stadium.

^ Agreed this is what I have been standing behind for awhile. Honestly they need to make super conferences and then start a playoff system of bowl games.

^I think a 64 team playoff is excessive, maybe a 16 teams and go from there.

Yea I was not speaking about the # of teams more of an established system like in college basketball. The model for this is already out there. With super conferences a north/south or east/west, 10 game season, conference championship then round robin playoff.
