2010 College Football

wow that was a pretty terrible call. Should have been Bama’s ball at the 2.

Just want to stick my neck out and say I think Florida is going to have a HUGE day after last week’s mishaps. I don’t expect to see a bumbling and inept team running around the field today…

Gators 42, USF Bulls 13.
hahahahahaha
42-13 vs 38-14, simply hilarious.
Hearing you talk about Florida’s dominance while simultaneously watching them take 28 minutes to put up any points against South Florida = Hilarious.
and it was against South Florida… lol.

Florida has struggled almost the entire game in both of its games so far this season against shit teams. Then they have a few big plays and the score looks respectable.

Florida will have a couple losses this year.

Who were the guys earlier spouting off about how low Penn States ranking was? They’re getting whacked by alabama right now. HA!
I’m not even going to sit here and bicker about Florida being 2-0, because that’s what they are. Probably shouldn’t have even replied. I stuck my neck out and made a bold prediction for my team’s score, which ended up being a whole 5 point total variance.

And when the hell did winning two games become a bad thing? I have nothing to defend, keep laughing to yourself… about whatever.

the big 10 has been really weak for a few years now.

and the Rose Bowl last year was their first big bowl game win in a whiiiiiiiiiiile.
Let’s recap last year’s bowls, shall we?

Ohio State (Big Ten) beat Oregon (PAC 10)
Penn State (Big 10) beat LSU (SEC)
Wisconsin (Big 10) beat Miami (ACC)
Iowa (Big 10) beat GA Tech (ACC)

Yeah, real weak conference there.

^^Listen man… the Big 10 is has .476 winning percentage in BCS games. 10 W’s with 11 L’s… yeah real strong conference there.

but thats what your doing…

yeah probably not…

I will but I still said Florida will lose at least 2 games this year… so we’ll see if that happens or not

Also, I was just kinda busting your balls man  Not many people get worked up as much as Florida fans… well except maybe Big 10 fans

I can definitely attest to that, very valid point.

I think the comment that irked me the most was when someone said if UF struggles against USF that they shouldn’t be ranked.

Oh well, great weekend of college football! Too bad those Buckeyes still stand undefeated…

My Cardinal is looking pretty good.

I hear ya. I dont agree with the “they shouldnt be ranked” comment either. Everyone struggles sometimes its just not a good sign when your team struggles with two subpar opponents in a row… but things can always turn around.

Ohio State looked good… and I hate Ohio State. Their special teams is definitely suspect which could bite them in the ass in a close game but we’ll see… I think they’ll breeze through the big 10 if they play like they did yesterday… and unfortunately that’ll put them in the NC game which would suck.

UCLA sucks… but Stanford did look pretty good (from the minimal time I saw). They got 4 turnovers and only beat UCLA by 1 score though

The score was 35-0, what kind of math did you use to equate that to only beating them by 1 score?

The Down South Recap:

Well James Madison certainly kicked Boise St in the jewels.

Boomer Sooner looked good but we’l need to see how good FSU turns out this year. The same for Bama vs. Penn State and OSU vs. Miami.

Oregon got strait after a slow start against what threatens to be a woeful UT team.

Texas got a bit of a scare early from the Cowbooys but got right after a bit.

Michigan has a outstanding running back at QB but if they aren’t careful they are going to get his ass broken.

Is Bama’s very young defense going to be able to learn fast enough to keep up? OSU won big but a national champion QB can’t go 12-27 in big games can they? Oklahoma won big at home, can they do it on the road?

Florida looks like a collection of great athelets rather than a team right now. Can they get it together before things get tough on their schedule?

When Joe Paterno said “We’re being sloppy right now or their that good,” at half time it was a refreshing bit of honesty and I hope he knew he was saying it.

Didn’t get to see any Nebraska, its going to be a bad year for the Dawgs in Athens, the ACC is horrible and might have already cemented the worst conference award.

Somebody talk about the late games, I missed those.

Conference breakdown

Pac-10: I think right now Oregon is the class of the PAC-10. No I’m not even going to mention USC because they can’t win.

Big-12: Once again I think the Red River Shootout will tell the tale.

Big-10: OSU looked good and if Pryor can complete 50% of his passes and they get their special teams squared away they will be hard to beat. I don’t buy Iowa just yet and I think Michigan’s QB might not make it through the season uninjured so right now I think OSU has pretty smooth sailing.

ACC: Maybe this is Clemson’s year, maybe FSU, GT or Miami are better than they looked Sat. Can the ACC go into next weekend with no one in the top 25?

Big-East: No idea, honestly its hard to get up for Big East football.

SEC: Bama needs its youth to grow up fast,. Florida needs to gel as a team. I was not impressed by Arkansas, particularly the defense and the O-line. South Carolina might be better that expected. LSU is not as good as advertised and Auburn is a complete mystery. If no one beats Florida early they are going to be hard to deal with by the end of the season.

God I’m glad football is back.

I have to say I eat my words when it comes to Pryor. I figured he was all hype, even up to this point. He’s had a great team around him, and I figured he just kind of “kept up” in the past. But wow, he really put up yesterday.

Although, honestly, all the hype in this area is obviously Denard Robinson and, although I LOATHE Michigan, he looks like he’s going to be a hell of a competitor!

This. South Carolina scares the hell out of me, and I think Auburn can be a great kicker here and there. No national contender, but definitely the kind of wrench that could be thrown in an ‘unstoppable’ machine such as Bama.

Great season so far!

I looked up the score on ESPN and it said the final was 21-16 I believe… I’m guessing that was last years score or something? Yeah my bad lol

I was confused by that score because I thought they beat UCLA by more than that (which they obviously did) but my original comment said “and who was it that said Luck was a bum? lol” then I erased that part after I saw the wrong score

Just admit it, your just terrible with math.

Well I’m not awesome at match but I’m definitely not that bad! Damn ESPN leading me astray

It pains me to say this because Tim Tebow irritates the shit out of me, but Pryor has a lot in common with Tebow in terms of playing style and I have to say that’s a good thing for my Buckeyes.

Wow sorry man the game is really not going this way.
SSC hats off man you predicted this in my opinion, didnt start that way but all that matters is the score at the end. My opinion they really need to get a running game if they are going to help their QB develop this year.

Okay time for week two predictions.

No. 20 Florida State at No. 7 Oklahoma
Oklahoma in a close one, Florida has an improving defense
We will need one of those too!
After each team scored on the first drive, I thought “Well, this will be a helluva shootout…”

I guess I was right - it was a shootout… But OU was the only one doing any shooting. Two completely different teams, from week 1 to week 2. Boomer Sooner!

Stanford and Oregon look very strong in the Pac-10. Also, I think UW will be tough. I am worried about my defense, they look like high school kids playing at the high school level.
