2010 College Football 2.0

Fairley is a beast. He carries a rep as a dirty player, but that kid is going to get a lot of love from NFL front offices.

^ Agreed, I dont think he is at the level of Suh. Somewhere between McCoy and Suh. He could play 0 or 3 technique, look forward to the draft as always. Have to keep this thread up just for the draft.

So who won? Do they get to keep the title?

It’s difficult to tell how evenly matched it was with the way Oregon plays. They can’t just line up and play football; it’s all trick/big plays for them. That’s tough to live or die on. Auburn was in control the entire second half. Auburn’s problem was sitting back and trying to burn too much clock. They got a one-score lead and tried to sit on it, which I think is unwise against a team like Oregon who, if they’re going to score, can often do it in a minute or less.

It seemed as if Oregon did not have the patience to move ball down the field methodically, 4-6 yards at a time. There were several times early in the game where they made some silly plays where 4-5 yards were there but they were looking for a home run. That and apparently they do not have a fullback for short yardage situations.

Oregon has pretty much blown everyone out this year, whereas Auburn has been in a number of dogfights this year, come from behind several times, and seemed comfortable in a close game. Overall they seemed more patient than Oregon, plus it helps when you know 3rd n short is a gimme. Dyer and Fairley were the real deal for sure.

Agree on the Oregon cheerleaders. Hotties!

As I pointed out last night, this match up favored Auburn. They could line up and run the ball when they needed to, Oregon couldn’t run the ball to save their life. Oregon’s speed and some trick plays helped keep them in the game.

I actually think these two teams could play ten times and Oregon might win 3 of them. They just couldn’t match up with Auburn in the trenches, which is where games are won and lost.

Michigan got Brady Hoke, booo!!

auburn played a good oregon team but auburn should’ve murdered them… cam missed some open passes… overall tho SEC dominated the bowl games this year… like i’ve said Auburn was gonna take it all…

They say TCU doesn’t play anybody:

Did you guys see the mass exodus of underclassmen players going into this years draft?

Cam Newton and Mark Ingram included.

I am not surprised, I think they feel its go now or risk not getting the big money payday.

biggest thing is the CBA next year… the NFLPA is talking about a rookie salary cap… so their pay day might not be as big as they think… outside of the first 10 selections the rest of the 1st rounders don’t really make as much…

Yes there will be, that was some of my question about Luck and his decision to stay. Will cost him millions of dollars. If you knew you could come out now, get a contract for 50 million.

analysts are projecting that Luck will lose between 40-60 MILLION DOLLARS on his rookie contract by staying this year! that is astronomical!

man he must really want that architecture degree (i believe thats his major)

^ I still am waiting for him to declare. I just have a hard time believing he is going to stay. With Rivera now the HC at Carolina I really still do expect him to declare. He can basically wait until when? I know it would not be wise to miss a combine invite so when would the deadline be? Anybody know.

Anyone paying attention to recruiting this year? Today is signing day.

^ Whats up Brady, no I have never got that indepth with college ball. I get wrapped up in NFL at this time of year and will follow the draft closely etc. So who is Nebraska signing? How many from Texas?

^^Nebraska really is doing good in their recruiting class. They signed this QB who plays highschool ball in Texas who rushed for AND passed for more than 2,000 yards EACH in his junior and senior years… Wild!

oh and USC is killing it this year in the recruiting class. If they sign the guys who have commited they are a top 5 recruiting class even with the sanctions (they’re ranked number 4 right now)
