WOW! Three quick BS foul calls on the Bulls to start the second quarter.
Reggie Miller commented that it was 4 bad calls by the same ref towards the end of the half. Pretty suspect if you ask me.
yeah I heard that. Homeboy is pulling a Donaghy! haha

^^^ Haha, no worries man. I need to look into getting those converted to DVD format, 'cause some of those old games are fucking awesome. I can talk mid-90’s ball for hours, and there’s a few relatively obscure games that stick out for some reason or another.
When I was a kid I had a 2,000 card bball card collection by the time I moved out to PA at age 9 (1991). I sold 1,000 of them for like 10 bucks at a garage sale. I think I still have my 30-40 MJ cards framed at my dad’s house.

And he gave me his George Gervin rookie, haha.
Had a buddy who went to a basketball camp in San Antonio when he was younger and said Gervin showed up one afternoon as a guest speaker. He had a mic attached to his shirt and said Gervin was shooting around while he was talking to the campers, and that he didn’t miss for the entire 30+ minutes. He said “I don’t mean he missed a couple, I mean HE DIDN’T MISS”. Always thought that was cool, especially considering Gervin was already like 50-something. Said the campers just sat there with there mouths open the whole time, haha.

Blood pressure rising…

LETS GO OMER

If Haslem takes this spurt of good play and turns it into something more lasting, Miami all of a suddenly can play ‘big’(lol understatement) with Anthony/Haslem/Bosh/James… if Noah had some offensive game I might be worried about a potential matchup there defensively but that sounds super scary in this series.

Not sure I get this. You matching up Haslem on Deng?

Haslem is going to be the cause of me blowing an artery. Seriously, Haslem is going to go Nowitzki???

Probably Bosh, I doubt that lineup will actually happen though given the way Spo tries to use his bigs off the bench, the only way to rotate off of that keeping the minutes the way he typically has is to instantly switch to their small group?

Miller subs in on a timeout: Miami offense dies. To think he was the reason most people thought this team might be successful at the drive+kickout half court offense, calling this season an underperformance would be an insult to chronic underperformers like Joe Johnson and company.

Bulls do cartwheels when Miller comes in because it gives them free reign to play Korver.

Haslem has been a huge boost for miami… but I think he needs a few minutes on the bench. Rest him up and bring him back fresh

How has he been in for this entire 7 minute stretch of the 4th, Bibby must’ve been really fucking tired to need a blow this long before finishing out the game.

No James Jones either? Feel like I haven’t seen him in the entire 2nd half.

DUDE when I was a kid I had the sickest card collection, baseball and basketball. I had a couple of those jersey cards, one of them was Frank Thomas. I had like over 100 Cal Ripken Jr cards, he was my favorite player. I also had a Jordan rookie card and a bunch of other valuable cards. Like a dipshit I sold them all for $50 at a garage sale. A couple months back I was looking at ebay out of boredom and just the few cards I could remember were worth over $500 total. Man I wish I still had those, I think I sold them to buy a razr scooter or some dumb shit.

Anyway Heat need to pull this out or I think the series is over.

Is it just me or have there been more whistles in this game than at a dog show?

Wow LBJ took over the end of the game

Well, not Rose’s best night. Ugh.

CMON OMER!!!

Well, I think the subdued continued discussion about LeBron James not having the “x-factor,” being “clutch,” having “instinct” or whatever you want to call it needs to end. It has dominated the Lebron hate conversation and used in argument to demean LeBron’s entire career. Maybe we should wait until he wins a championship, but that’s a team thing anyway, so as far as I’m concerned, LeBron the individual basketball player, is clutch. He’s one of the best to ever play this game… and that’s for you particularly randman.

Nowitzki’s performance last night got me thinking: What is the best playoff performance y’all have ever seen? It can be one game, a whole series or even an entire playoff run?
Funny thing about Dirk’s night is that Durant gets no props for his own ridiculous performance - 40pts on 18 shots (!) is insane

Best playoff performances I’ve seen:

-Dominique vs Bird 1988 East Finals, Game 7
-Isiah 1988 Finals, Game 6
-Worthy 1988 Finals, Game 7
-Jordan 1997 Finals, flu game
-Earvin Johnson 1980 Finals, Game 6 (granted I was too young to actually see this live – actually I think NBA was still tape-delayed then – but have to mention it
