2008 Product Round Up

Great thread. I’ll need to think of some more things to contribute to it.

Might I suggest we open it up to products that we have tried, and hated? Seems just as valuable.

Anyway, here’s one that I’ve been using for a couple years, and swear by:

Eddie Bauer Sport Briefs: http://www.eddiebauer.com/EB/Men/Socks--Underwear/Boxers--Briefs/index.cat#ppl={type%3A"transition"%2CensembleId%3A"23140"%2CformatStr%3A"product"%2CpassedIdObj%3A{"ensembleId"%3A"23140"}%2CcategoryId%3A"24177"%2CpathInfo%3A"C1C2C24175C24177"%2CcolorId%3A"100"%2CcatPath%3A"lineId%3D-1~~pCategoryId%3D1~~categoryId%3D2~~pCategoryName%3DEB~~categoryName%3DMEN"%2Ccs%3A"0"}

Not sure if that link will work or not. Anyway, I’ve found these to be FAR superior to any of the Under Armour, or any brand, of sport briefs out there. I think they’re absolutely essential for anyone whose legs are big enough that they rub together.[/quote]

I have a question. Do those ride up and attempt to strangle your junk like every other pair of boxer briefs on the planet? God forbid you sit down and stand back up.

No, they don’t, and that’s exactly why I like them. You’ll have to re-adjust them a couple times a day if you’re moving a lot, but it’s not the continual assault on your testicles like every other pair I’ve tried.

I have tried EVERY kind out there, and the Eddie Bauer ones are the only ones I’ll wear.

The Furminator: http://www.furminator.com/

By FAR the greatest dog brush ever invented.

If you have a dog or dog(s), this thing kicks ass.

I first saw it demo’d in a pet store, and said “I’m getting that thing!”, and then I realized it was like $70, and I told the brush to go fuck itself.

Then, I searched around on the internet, and found it on Amazon for like $28. Worth every penny.

I haven’t tried the EB sport briefs so I can’t compare but my favorites are the UA compression shorts. I hate the UA briefs those are pretty terrible and ride up all the time. The compression shorts rarely have to be adjusted. I wore many pairs when I was sweating my ass off out in the field down in Louisiana during the summer a year back.

Yeah, those are pretty good. Only the “long” version of the compression shorts stays in place for me though.

They dry a little faster than the EB Sport Briefs, but they don’t last nearly as long. Since the inside of my quads are constantly rubbing together when I move, that’s the first place to wear down.

Bacon salt.

That’s gold baby.

Ah, I didn’t even know they came in different lengths. I just bought all of mine at once when I was in the PX one day. They are pretty long.

Good call on the rubbing thing. I’ll have to try the EB brief out. They have them in stores or is it online?

Good shit Bauer. Ill have to give these a try. My balls and legs are always rubbing together. My legs have always been pretty big but have gotten alot bigger since I bulked and decided to squat and leg press heavy. Maybe they’ll even allow my ass and legs to fit a little better in my jeans, since finding a good fitting pair of jeans is getting damn near impossible.

I think they’re online-only.

Apparently, the inside of your legs rubbing together isn’t a wide-enough problem to justify retail location sales.

I am getting me some of those. Thanks man.

Have to say that these are probably the single greatest pair of training’posing shoes I have ever owned.

The Vibram ‘5 Finger’.

I just looked around and bought myself a pair of their no discontinued full ankle version for a measly $68 including shipping to the UK.

Those are freakin’ awesome. I want… I want.

Alright Bauer, you are positive that these are better than the Under Armour briefs? I wear the 9" seam (cycle short) length and they are by far the best underwear I have found.

But if you say these are better, I’ll give them a shot.

I like them better, yes. More comfortable, stay in place just as well if not better, and last longer.

If you don’t like them as much as the UA ones, hopefully what you dropped on 1 pair of the EB briefs won’t have you holding too much of a grudge against me.

Or, maybe the EB briefs will become your favorite underwear of all time, and you’ll be forever in my debt, and think about me everytime you put you underwear on…wait, shit.

You know how I know you’re gay?

Damn now I have the urge to watch that movie again.

Well, since they’re cheaper than UnderArmour, I’ll try a pair. But I gotta say, I LOVE the mid-length UnderArmour boxers.

So that’s what this is all about. You want all of T-Nation to switch to these underwear so we can think about you when we are wearing them. I knew there was a catch!

Hopefully they will hold up a bit better when my dogs get a hold of them and decide to play tug-o-war… bastages. Don’t they know they know that they are $20 a pop!

I’ll see if I can find them in an EB store this weekend. Thanks for the heads up.

so Bauer, does your SN come from your love of these briefs?

tired of stinking up the place when letting one rip during a set of squats? Then try this.

Obviously. And 97 is how many pairs of them I have. Cool right?
