That session epitomised everything I love about weightlifting. Incredible strength, tactics, and heart.

Chigishev looked insane, like a superhero. Double bodyweight C&J as a super too. When was the last time that happened? And did you see the speed he gets under his snatches? It looks speeded up when it’s slowed down.

Didn’t stefan botev clean and jerk 250kg at a low bodyweight in the shw? Not sure if it was double bodyweight but I thought it was, he is the only one that comes to mind.

Edit yes he was 123 kg so yes it was double bodyweight clean and jerk in the shw Weightlifting at the 1996 Summer Olympics – Men's +108 kg - Wikipedia

In training stefan botev would do 250kg little under 120kg also I believe. So other then him and chgishev noone else comes to mind.

[/quote]Well,Anatoly Pisarenko was one hell of beast. He was a super with a lower body weight than Chigishev and clean and jerked 265 before Taranenko set the REAL record of 266. He claimed a 280 clean in training.

Yeah, Botev did 195/250 at the 1990 Europeans as a 110.

Check this out. It has some highlights as well as all of the actual footage for each weight class. I’m not sure what the carrier for the olympics is where you are but if the link doesn’t work then that is probably why.

When you play one it will ask you for a zip code and cable provider. You will probably have to do some searching for a zip code and cable provider but it doesn’t ask for any type of authentication (you could do San Francisco 94118, provider Comcast for instance).

I thought that might happen. Maybe try BBC. I know they have footage on their website that I can’t watch as I’m in America. Might work for you.

Hotspot sheild has been suggested to me as a means of blocking your IP address. I haven’t been able to watch it yet eithe because of tihs (your IP address is traceable to a region, when NBC checks yours and it doesn’t point to the US, you don’t get to see it).

So Razoronov just got popped for nandrolone…Probably the only thing that was keeping him alive.

Ah, too bad. Still, he’s 38 years old. I believe that’s also his second time caught…

Yeah, I thought that too. I suspect he and his coach thought “Fuck it, I’m 38, what am I gonna do after this anyway?”.

what has happened to rezza? he sort of fell of the radar as of late, no?

He withdrew due to ‘health problems’ and a feeling that he wouldn’t perform as well as he should. One rumor is that he was afraid he’d fail drug tests with all the recent busts.
