2006-2007 Fantasy Football Thread

I see your point. Right now I am starting LT and LJ at RB. Then I have Holt and LJ SMith. So I have to choose between Gates, Winslow, Mason and Evans. I have Winslow in there right now but am considering Gates.

So my overall league. I got Gates for Kevin Jones. You guys think Gates will come around or is SD going to run all season?

I do have LT so I figured I would get most if not all of the TD’s. And I have Kaeding as well.

My other back is LJ, yeah that LJ, haha.

Also, I am starting Holt, LJ Smith against GB and Winslow against Oakland.

I am benching Gates against Bmore, any thoughts? Other options are Mason and Evans

AA
I wouldn’t bench Gates. If LT can’t score, maybe Gates can. cover both ends there. If you have 2 other options where you know both have a good chance of scoring I would go with LJ Smith and the other back. Either both or none is how I do it. sometimes you get screwed, sometimes lucky. Its all a guess anyway. L.T “could” score 2 td’s. I just picked him to get shut down and a moderate 66 yards.

Hey heavy, any predictions on Leinert?
Amsterdam Animal wrote:
CBS has been slow as shit this morning. So what is the extent of Glenn’s injury? Also, TO said he would be ready to play. Pepp burnt me 3 straight weeks man, how can I start him, fuck fuck fuck.
Terry Glenn reportedly suffered a cut to his hand on Monday.
Glenn might miss practice Tuesday, but the injury is not considered serious. He’s an excellent fantasy start against Tennessee in Week 4, especially if Terrell Owens (hand) is unable to play. Sep. 25 - 11:30 pm et

It doesn’t sound to serious.

I hear ya on Pepp. But it is the Texans and everyone they have played has been putting up huge passing numbers on them. I say start him this week and if he doesn’t produce, bench his ass. That’s what i’m going to do.
Amsterdam Animal wrote:

Well they play the Falcons at home. I’m thinking it’s going to be one of two scenarios. Leinert is going to put up huge numbers against them or he’s going to get shutdown. I know that doesn’t help.

After the way they played last night i’m thinking they might be out for revenge. Or the Saints exposed something in their defense and the Cards might pick up on it.

So, all in all I have no prediction and have decided that this post is entirely worthless.

A lot of talk about Leinart lately, and I just don’t see how he is a safe start this week. Making your first start ever on the road in a dome against a better team off a division loss and prob getting back one of the best DEs in the league (J Abraham) – not a favorable matchup.

ATL was a 7pt favorite with Warner at QB; with the Leinart announcement, they’re 8pt favorites which is actually a huge difference in sportsbetting. And all of this with ATL on a short week. (MNF means less rest and less practice before next Sunday)

I’d like to see Leinart succeed at this level, but even Peyton struggled early.

(EDIT: Looks like most of this post is now irrelevant. K Warner is the Week 4 starter at ATL.)
FightinIrish26 wrote:
Start Culpeper- Houston is terrible and they give up the most points in the league.
Yeah, you have to start DC at HOU because you may not ever get to start him again.

After this week, the only way they can save DC is to only go with short routes and dumpoffs. Their O-Line isn’t giving anyone (QB, WRs) time to do anything else.

1 TD, and who knows how many yards… maybe 250.

Not much, but better than nothing. I swear Pepp is your best bet. I have to pick up Leinart and start him. Bledsoe is a bust, i just have to accept it. Warner is benched WTF!, I don’t get that.

I wish I had Pepp. there is no way Pepp doesn’t get at least 2 td’s against Houston. Even if he has to run some in.

I think Miami will have their shit together this week.

gotta love dre and his honesty.

at least you don’t get your foot stuck in your mouth as often as me. I gotta quit making predictions, one of these time they just might not come true {WINK}

Fuck!

Will you bastards make up your mind?

O.K. AA, if its Warner starting, I say go with him over Pepp… stay with the safe pick, although this is Pepp’s best opp to put up some big numbers.

I only have Warner, so Bledsoe is not an option for me.

Dotn have Warner and spent 3 bucks for Leinart this morning for nada.

I have Pepp in there now. If anything, Bledsoe better not blow up if Pepp doesnt.

Still have Winslow against Oakland rather than Gates against Bmore.

I will prob change it 31 more times before setting my final line up.

Yeah, but you must be right some of the time! Actually, you are, i’ve seen it! The Ronnie Brown Affair in Week 1. Scary shiat…

slowly backs out of thread

They better get their shit together. If they can’t put up atleast 3 tds on Houston, i’m looking to drop Pepp and trade R. Brown.

Saban better figure out something to get this team moving. Or i’m going to fly to Miami and kick him in the junk! Or just curse him from afar while shaking my fist in the air.

Hey A.A., I got one peice of advice for ya. If you bench Pepp… sure enough, he will throw up a big game. Happens every fuckin time. You try to hang onto a guy and when you finally bench him because he keeps screwing you, like clockwork he’ll screw you again when you bench him. Every fuckin year this happens to me. The one thing I try to do is stay with players unless i just have studs that i dont have to guess with. I think Warner is the safe pick, but Pepp is the “money” pick.

Have the patience just one more week and it will finally pay off. bench him next week. get those fuckin points outta him though.

I’m telling you, he is gonna throw em up this week.

You have some tough calls.

If I had your team. My hoest starts would be Pepp, Winslow, and LT. LT has is rough but you can’t bench him. Peep will screw you if you bench him… otherwise I would go with WArner/Leinart. No bledsoe…he’s garbage, I have him and I don’t know why.

Gates over winslow …nope

Winslow is better at this point and has the killer match up with gates against Balt. Now Balt shuts everything down, but there might be an opening for the TE… but Balt has shown no weakness in their DEF… its a tough call at there. But QB…don’t take Pepp out.

They sure as hell better do something. It would be nice to get some production from Chambers!

Hey Dre, are you a Favre fan being there in wisconsin and all? I am. Looks like Brett got his shit together, possible sleeper Qb there. Lots of TD’s so far… 6 I think and what only 2 picks.

I fucked up and never started Favre when I knew he would throw 3 td’s. I fropped him, now someone else has him.

Right now Brett looks like a good fantasy qb. The team plays from behind alot, so he’s slingin it getting the yards, the td’s… but that could also cause him to start rackin up those int’s again. God knows Brett loves to force the ball. Awesome QB, too bad the Packers arn’t better. I’ve always liked the Packers.

Ignore this post!

I just wanted to post without having any spelling errors in one. My previous 37 posts… I can’t even read.

Yup, i’m a Packers fan through and through. Also a fan of Brett. I’m not as big a fan as some nutballs in this state are but still a fan.

So far he has had a nice couple of weeks. But he got shut out against the Bears. Week 2 was the Saints and last week the Lions. The past two weeks haven’t exactly been great defensive efforts by their opponents. So, he’s put up some nice numbers. But he’s too streaky for my likes.

I really have a love hate thing with Favre. I respect the guy but at the same time he makes some throws that make you just go… WTF? haha But that’s who he is and blah blah blah…

So, being in Florida are you a Miami, Jacksonville or TB fan?

I’m a Steeler Fan… go figure!

From those 3 I would take Tampa though. Nah, I hate Miami… and eveything that has to do with Miami. I went to Florida State man… you gotta understand where I’m comming from.

I like the Steelers, Packers, and Old School Skins fan… back in the day when they had Art Monk and John Riggins.

Fuck man, you talked me into it. I am starting Pepp and Winslow, I was leaning towards it already. If Pepp doesnt throw for 3 titties at least, I will create another user name and troll your ass to death, haha.

By the way…Skins are beating the Jaguars this weekend and I will be in attendance. Did I mention the game starts at 4:15 EST and we start tail gating at 11:00 am, yeah baby. I have not cheated on my diet in two weeks in anticipation of this feast of meat and beer!
