2006-2007 Fantasy Football Thread

A.A. I’m already winning.

Walker 250 yards 2 td’s
Boldin 253 yards 1 td

Its a wash, trust me. Both will be around 100-115 yahoo fantasy points.

Thats because Walker’s game was a one time deal and sure he may get a few more like that but not consistent numbers like Boldin. Boldin will also lead the league in receptions this year, mark my words. This is with Warner throwing the ball, no way of telling what will happen when Leinart is the QB.

But I do hope Walker matches his 2004 season, I have him in the league I am defending champ. I have won 15 straight in that league dating back to last year.

I just secured my win. I have Dunn, Vick and Carney going. Carney has 13, more than Dunn and Vick combined. Now that’s what I call a bye week replacement.

Its a bet. When you are wrong, I ask that you admit it unconditionally and not give me some epic story how your prediction was still very close to his actual numbers, haha.

No fucking way!! LT will beat that prediction for sure. If he does not, I will sing your praises on this thread.

What you got for LT against the Ravens? And no, I am not benching him.

He’s getting stuffed. 66 yards no Td’s bank on it. Baltimore ain’t no joke!

Remember a running back is only as good as his offensive line. This year Willie Parker is money! He will be a top 6 back with Pittsburgh’s offensive line. I just don’t know how many scores he’ll get. Alot of goaline carries and he will be up the the Alexander and LT type numbers.

O.K. I 'll hold you to that. Any other DEF and I would say no way… even CHI I think he could find some holes, but Baltimore is not messing around. Can I also predict that Baltimore will make L.T. cry a little bit. not alot, just a little whimper on the sidelines?

Speaking of Leinart, he’s starting this week against the Falcons.

Yup, I picked him up in both leagues. Well, I had Chris Simms as a backup in one league so it’s not a big deal there. I was actually going to pick him up regardless if he was starting or not. But in my other league where i’m having QB issues i’m hoping he can light it up and maybe become trade bait.

Speaking of trades! haha I just proposed another trade in my Yahoo league. The guy has Hasselbeck, and he sat him last week in favor of Grossman. Now he drops Grossman and is starting Frye this week. WTF?

So, I sent him a trade offer. Pepp/Plummer & Gates for Hasselbeck & LJ Smith. I hope he bites. Yeah, Gates is the best TE in the league but I think getting a top QB is more important that a top TE.

Fuck that’s not good. Now I have to start Bledsoe or find another QB.

Bledsoe isn’t a bad start, but not a great one either. You would think though with Glenn and T.O. he would be a great start!

And I didn’t think Warner would get benched this soon.

Hey Dre and A.A., are either one of you “sxio”? And just fucking with me. I have some idiot troll acussing me and “heavy thrower” of being the same guy because heavy thrower agreed with a post I made. I figured it was just someone fucking with me. I’ve never even heard of “sxio” or would even know why he would bother me on the sexy wives thread. If not, oh well.

Got another troll to squash. He’s probably one of those TSB’s that hate heavy weights. He must have read a post of mine promoting heavy weights… I dunno.

Ain’t me bro. I fuggin’ hate trolls and wish they would all wake up with huge festering boils on them.

And you promote heavy weights? Are you nuts? You know that’s bad for you and expecially for your joints right? It’s all about functional strength now! Core workouts and doing squats on bosu balls!

Wow, I feel sooo dirty after writing that. I’m going to going to crawl under my desk and cry now. haha

I’m debating about starting Bledsoe too. He’s playing Tennessee but TO has the finger issue and I just read that Glenn cut his hand and may not be able to play Sunday. If that’s the case, I’m defintely starting Pennington against Indy.

I was leaning towards starting Bledsoe and Glenn together but if Glenn’s hurt then obviously he’s a no go. I also have Coles and he and Pennington have been putting up some good numbers so I may go that route.

Come on man, you have read the brotherhood thread and my progress thread, does that sound like something I would waste my time on?

Got Pepp, Bledsoe and picked up Leinert. Who do I start? TD heavy. Pepp has killed me through 3 weeks but he plays against Houston. I have Bled in there now against Ten.

So my overall league. I got Gates for Kevin Jones. You guys think Gates will come around or is SD going to run all season?

I do have LT so I figured I would get most if not all of the TD’s. And I have Kaeding as well.

My other back is LJ, yeah that LJ, haha.

Also, I am starting Holt, LJ Smith against GB and Winslow against Oakland.

I am benching Gates against Bmore, any thoughts? Other options are Mason and Evans

Thanks for the laughs dre. I feel all better now. Got to go back outside and do some work on my rear deck, not at work today so I gotta do something.

I don’t think they are going to run all season. I think they just wanted to let Rivers get use to game speed before they start letting him throw the ball. I think he’ll get more passing attempts as the season progresses. So, that will mean more production from Gates.

But then again, the way they have been running the ball has been impressive. But they have also run the ball on the Raiders and Tenn. not to overly impressive D’s.

Tough call on benching Gates. He’s big around the goal line but I also wouldn’t want to have 3 players from the same team. But that’s just me. Evans is streaky, but plays at home against the Viqueens. I hate the Vikings. I would start Evans over Mason.

No it doesn’t. Anyway, what the hell you doing for a qb this week with Warner down? I think I’m screwed with Bledsoe.

Gotta stay with Pepp 1 more time. Its Houston man. c’mon. If Pepp fucks this up, then bench him until he can throw 3td’s a game. Your other option sucks, bledsoe… that’s who I got. I’m picking up a free agent QB. I’m going to pick up Leinart and start him.

I would start Pepp, then Leinart, then Bledsoe. Dallas has injuries in T.O. and Glenn.

[/quote] I wouldn’t bench Gates. If LT can’t score, maybe Gates can. cover both ends there. If you have 2 other options where you know both have a good chance of scoring I would go with LJ Smith and the other back. Either both or none is how I do it. sometimes you get screwed, sometimes lucky. Its all a guess anyway. L.T “could” score 2 td’s. I just picked him to get shut down and a moderate 66 yards.

CBS has been slow as shit this morning. So what is the extent of Glenn’s injury? Also, TO said he would be ready to play. Pepp burnt me 3 straight weeks man, how can I start him, fuck fuck fuck.
