This…

I’ve never been a big fan of people eating a lot of fast food. There are plenty of cheaper ways to get BETTER calories. There is definitely more to the equation than calories in vs. calories out. That’s a guidline, but you’ll find people who take it to the extreme…and depite moderate strength/size, still look like shit. I’m not saying fast food isn’t a good tool in moderation, but don’t abuse it.

And if I hear any more skinny guys talking about their crazy metabolisms, I am going to lose it. You simply aren’t eating enough. I’m sure you have heard all about your fast metabolism growing up,…I know I did. Just don’t think it’s an excuse…

Make sure you are getting plenty of sleep as well. Consistent sleep plays a major role in recovery and growth.

Ppl like you piss me off when it comes to weight gaining. I am not claiming that I have a “crazy” metabolism, but I have 2 weight gainer shakes of AT LEAST 1000 cals a day, plus 4-6 meals where I eat until my body prevents me from chewing, in which case I drink milk. If that isn’t a fast metabolism then I don’t know what the fuck is. I’m pretty sure that would be considered a good bulking diet for the vast majority of people.
dude, i dont wanna piss in your cornflakes (or hijack this thread) but if you are eating 6 000 calories a day and “havent gained a single pound”, im going to take a WILD guess and say your intensity in the gym must blow nut sack. try harder.

of course he must eat. but anorexic?
People are entitled to their opinions. And im sure he’s not the only one thinking that.

The OP looks unhealthy. His knees are wider than his quads FFS. Dudes been lifting for THREE YEARS. This is a prime example of wheel spinning.

Having a low BF may be unhealthy for the majority of the people, but for me it ain’t. Simply this is how my body is usual to stay. And having a low BF is surely more esthetic than having a tone of fat with you. Why do you think that at BB or fitness shows competitors come with a very low body fat?

Now I don’t want to say that I want to stay this way forever, because I’m planning to get more mass, so I will get up the calories in the next months-years even if I will get some fat on me (but this is unprobable).

Because they have a very low bodyfat with a lot more muscle mass, which is more pleasing for the eye than a very low bodyfat with little muscle mass.

Your progress untill this point is significant because of your starting point, but could be a lot more. Just get more calories in.

Add these products to a 1,000 cal + weight gainer and you will have 2,000 drinkable calories in one shake that wont take you too long to down. Also someone mentioned sugar in weight gainers, but there are several options that are low sugar/very high in protien

Tatsu, many juniors (like me) competitors don’t have very much muscle mass. In fact, in my country I know that a junior national champion at bb had the aproximately same arm size (about 15") like me when he won his title. Obviously, by whole body he is way better than me (frame, density, right proportions, simetry etc.) And many normal people (that don’t lift weights) at my age ar smaller at mass then me.

I know that I’m not massive and cannot be compared to heavy weight category bodybuilders, but at 15" arms, 43" back and 52" in shoulders I really don’t think that I can be “anorexic” :)) Maybe anorexic compared to american bodybuilders, but not compared to people that you see outside in the town.

I will get more calories yes, thanks, beacuse I really want more mass.

You were like a twig before, now you’re like a branch, time to become a tree trunk.

Awesome progress.

Forget other people. If you look in the mirror and arepleased then do your thing. But DO NOT take the approach that other people are similar to you so it’s OK to be in your position (that’s only if you aren’t 100% happy with yourself). If you want to make changes never try to rationalize your situation by thinking that others are in the same boat. Instead take the mindset that “everyone is not maximizing their potential but I need to.”

Me and everyone else here is shocked to even hera the word “competitor”. You have at least 50lbs of muscle mass to gain (not total body mass) before you fill out. And at 20 years old you are entering the prime growing years. DO NOT WASTE THEM by taking bodyfat % measurements. Gain more muscle that fat and your bf % will never be a problem.

Your reasoning is proper, I should try to maximize my potential regardless of everyone else, even if comparison with other people are made daily without my will. Of course that now I’m not happy with me, because as I said earlier, my goal is bodybuilding (but I am happy comparative to normal people).

4000kcal for me, yes, are a lot of food. I don’t think that I can force myself to eat more, beacause now I’m already eating 5-6 solid meals/day.

McD is one of my favorites, along with KFC and Shawarma  But I eat them once a week let’s say, more is surely unhealthy and I don’t even have the money to go there more often.

Any other food (aliments) tips than has many calories and I can eat often?
Shawarma is one of your favorite food to eat haha. Are you Israeli? You must be because you look it and like Shawarma.

Nope, I’m romanian (eastern europe). And yes, shawarma is very good

Honestly, I have a similar body type to yours; however, the problem lies within your workout. And if you really are taking in ~4-5k calories a day then you should have no problem gaining weight with the proper workout strategy in the gym. Squats/Deads/Bench. Compound lifts. Take more time in between sets. Fast metabolisms are like problems. Everyone has them, but the smart ones solve them. Or in your case, still manage to gain substantial amounts of weight. In my opinion, stop doing anything that puts you in that target heart rate range except for your compound lifts. You have abs. Ok. Everyone does.

Don’t work them because it’s probably contributing to your weight loss factor. I had to come to grip with the fact that losing (some) of my standing abs was the only way to pack size on quickly without ruining my physique. I haven’t trained them for months. The best ab intensive lifts are rack pulls/deads/squats/bench sit-ups PERIOD. Indirectly your abs will continue to shine. At your BF %, there is no need to have them in your workout.

I’ll echo what a few other people have said, which is the obvious.

You need to be eating MUCH more food. I dont endorse the whole-hog fast food approach, but I certainly endorse the steak/eggs/milk approach, all of which can be found cheap at the store. I know its hard, but if you REALLY want to get bigger you need to do it. You need to decide if you want to be REALLY lean and skinny like you are right now, or get bigger over the next few years.

You have a great base to build off of, and you seem to be able to stay lean, which would be a dream come true for many people. Dont waste it by pussyfooting around the gym or the kitchen. You have the potential to be both big AND lean… Are you going to use it?

Great post Lonnie, nice to see you still post on here. I gotta echo the don’t waste the potential thing. I kick myself everyday for not utulizing the potential I could of had during my 19-23 years old years. Now I’m trying to push myself extra hard to make up for it. You definitly have A TON of potential.

Thanks for the supporting, I’ll do my best both at my workouts and in the kitchen. I’ll be back with new pics after 1-2 years.
