Hi guys, so as the title reads I’ve not been very satisfied with how my TRT has been going, i’ve been very patient and my doctor said “it takes 5 months to get your sex drive back” which I believe is BS. Ever since I’ve taken antidepressants 6 months ago my sex drive has been very low, and it’s starting to psychologically affect me.
I’m currently taking 150mg of Sustanon a week, and 10mg of nolvadex ED.
I don’t take an AI as they make me feel worse ( I tried taking as low as 0.75 per week)
When I was taking 5000 IU of HCG per week (1 day of the week) I had an estrogen reading of 40 pg/ml which leads me to believe that my body doesn’t convert alot of T → E2.
I’ve also had a pretty good reading of SHBG consistently.
overall, I just don’t feel good about myself like I used to in the past, I feel like my sex drive has something to do with it but it’s also a feeling of emptiness and lack of purpose
Could the Anti Depressants/Benzo’s have done permanent damage to my sex drive?
Benzos are the reason I’m on TRT, was on Klonopin for 30 years and began tapering and my testosterone plummeted (Total T =120) as a result. I got my erections and libido back in 4 weeks after starting TRT. What about thyroid, if thyroid function is low TRT won’t do much for you.
We need your most recent labs including SHBG.
Are you still taking benzo’s and or Anti depressants?
Whats your SHBG like?
What is your e2 like on the protocol you are on now?
I remember it was as soon as I took my first Benzo, it was almost like an immediate effect on my libido. I don’t know if that was the cause of my secondary hypo but I suspect it was.
I’m not taking any antidepressants or benzo’s, I’ll run some more recent tests and update you guys. Current protocol is as listed above 150mg of Sustanon and 10mg of Nolvadex ED. Getting tested is very expensive here so I’ll just do all my blood tests at once.
From my experience, I feel like whenever I add any arimidex (even as low as 0.5mg per week) I get sensitive bones and frequent urination
Tell me if I should add anything else to this list of tests:
Total Test
SHBG
Free test
Lipids
CBC
Thyroid full
Estrogen (They don’t have sensitive testing where I live for some reason)
DHEAS
Progestorone
Prolactin
Androstenedione
Vitamin D
Zinc
B12
MG
Glucose
RFT
LFT
AMYLASE
PTH
Arimidex and any e2 control is garbage. Granted, SOME need it. But I think its the minority.
Labs will give us a much better idea.
E2 score came back at 28 pg/ml (non-sensitive)
Could it possibly be lower because it’s not sensitive?

It is possible, but not necessarily significantly lower. Go with how you feel.
