It’s all good bro. I’m just throwing my 2 cents in to save you some headaches. I have been down this road for the last 4 years dealing with doctors just like yours giving bad treatment plans. In the end you have to make your own decisions based on the information in front or you. I learned the hard way that doctors don’t always know what they are doing and in most cases they don’t with TRT. I’m glad you are waiting for labs before upping. I hope we both figure out the right protocol soon. This shit takes forever and it’s tempting to make changes too soon. I will keep you posted on my labs when I get them as well.
I get it, and I apreciate it, I also would agree with you if that one particular thing was at a stand alone. But with the added information as to why he would make that decision with a lax attitude. Doesn’t make it 100% correct but I feel the difference between the two are substantial. And yes… I wanted to cheat horribly. I expected a quality boost by week 2 and when that didn’t come I tried to think of a way I could reliably test a higher dose on my own but decided against it, didn’t want to mess up my 6 week labs. Although I am finally feeling better overall. Although I’m not 100% there I am starting to feel like a new person.
How do you feel bud? It’s been 2 months now.
I just switched to 50mg e3.5d on Saturday. My energy levels seem somewhat better. If I drink a cup or two of coffee in morning I usually don’t get fatigued much now. I tried not drinking coffee today and I’m very tired. It will take another 6 to 8 weeks to see if this new dose is going to work for my energy levels. My levels were the following on 40mg twice a week…
Total T 463 (250 - 1100 ng/ml)
Free T 101 (35 - 155 pg/ml)
I want to get my levels up a little since this was drawn at my lowest point before injection. My Libido and erections are fantastic but energy levels need to improve alot. The coffee gets me through the day for now I guess. How are you feeling sir and what did your labs show? Are you on 100mg a week now?
Damn, sounds like we are both in the same boat still. My libido is way better, erections or nice and consistent, but my energy isn’t quite there yet. I’m pretty decent most mornings after an hour or to. I’m still really really tired when I first wake up but I level out much quicker. but I still get pretty tired in the afternoons. My mood is a bit better to. But I cannot stop taking my regular kratom, although I need less of it. I imagine I will need another updose to 120mg a week. But I know I’m feeling better because I’ve been camping and hiking every weekend, I just decided to hike this 300+ mile long trail through Alabama and Georgia. I would have never thought about that 2 months ago. I haven’t seen my 6 week tests yet, I need to call. Your still seem really low at 463. What was it previously?
I’m glad you see some improvements. We have to take the small victories and build on them. It’s too soon to tell with our new dose yet. We need to wait 8 weeks at least. We definitely sound like we are in the same boat. I’m still going to remain patient with this protocol. 1 change at a time until I figure this out.
I did a quick search and didn’t find anything so have you had your pregnenolone tested? If its low you will feel tired. I did and I was and I take 100mg preg daily now and the fatigue is gone.
I have never had it tested or even heard of that before. Thanks for tip.
That was from a podcast interview with Dr. Robert Kominiarek. He says as soon as he hears “tired” on TRT he gets them on pregnenolone or DHEA based on findings. He said it fixes the issues 90% of the time.
Physiologik always recommends upping dietary cholesterol first which is the building block of pregnenolone (and all other hormones). Some of us may still be low especially with the gonads off line which produce pregenolone. Personally I eat 4 eggs a day and it had no effect on my levels.
Also, its an OTC hormone in the US so can be purchased anywhere including Amazon.
My cholesterol is high as is. I might die.
What do you consider high?
I’ve never heard of that but I will have it run on my next tests. But, my DHEA was great, top of the charts. I will say this, I swapped my diet to primarily chicken, veggies, sausage, Turkey, peanut butter, and different assortment of nuts (since mine are disappearing). That was maybe week 5 or so, ever since week 6 everything has been getting better. I may try to add more meat high in fat and cholesterol to my diet, the eggs are a great idea. I’ll stack on 3-4 a day, I need them.
Just got my 6 weeks labs in and everything is screwed up. My testosterone serum went from 375 to 334 (scale: 264-916), my free T went from 5 to 3.5 (scale: 9.3-26.5), and my estrogen went from 20 to 123!!! (Scale: 40-115)
I was taking 80mg a week prior to these results and now take 100mg, as of the past 3 weeks.
Bumping
Are you bloated? Your test is too low either way. What has happened most likely is that you have reached total shutdown for this lab. Your dose is too low and you probbly need to take something for E2 for a while.
What is total shutdown? I don’t feel bloated. I actually don’t feel many symptoms of low E. I still feel about the same as pre -T but better libido and muscle mass. Now I am on 100mg a week IM, today is 3 weeks past this test. No sore nipples, although my testes have shrunk half their size.
Total shutdown of my testes and pituitary? Meaning they have all shut down while my dose was way to low for me? What would cause my estrogen to hit the roof when I didn’t make any estrogen at all pre-T with very similar T levels?
Alright, I’ll go slow. Your nuts have stopped. Your pituitary function is not of concern atm, and probably is totally unchanged and unaffected. Your nuts will remain shut down, that’s what happens when you take testosterone, your nuts stop trying to make any.You made estrogen pre-TRT, you just didn’t have much T to make it from. Now you have more testosterone and your body is free to aromatise it into E2. To be extra clear on this, there would be no reason to have symptoms of LOW E2 when your E2 is 123. 123 is the polar opposite of low E2 on any range. You would have symptoms of HIGH estrogen, like bloat, id it’s a problem for you to be at that level.
Alot of that makes sense. My mad I meant to say high E symptoms. But, I was curious if my T was amount caused the low E or if it was a problem internally. But, I did find it suprising that my estrogen went from bow the scale to over it on such a small dose. It makes sense as to why my general fatigue has not stopped for the 2 months I’ve been on TRT. Honestly I thought I wouldn’t have to worry about high E until I got into the higher doses because I originally made so little of E. It’s possible I have bloat, I guess bloat is what I thought was more mass from working out with the TRT. I have a perfect BMI, weighing 145 with little fat content. I only eat chicken and vegetables, along with sausage and eggs for breakfast. No sugar. High E was the last thing on my list.
And I appreciate the help bud, I know I’m bring a bit frantic. I haven’t heard from my doctor yet and just want to know what it all means, what I need to do, and why it is happening. I will drive myself nuts until I know exactly what is going on lol.
It means that you aromatise a lot. That simple. Your T is still too low. You may need an AI for a while you adjust.
