that’s all. so going into today i was gonna try a wide sumo cuz i think i figured out how to deadlift. so i tried it and turns out it worked pretty well. still had quite a bit left on everything. jakerz made a good call by telling me to stop at 675. got in some rep stuff after that. woulda stretched and stuff but we all went to get foods.

2-27-12 squat

safety bar- squat box(apparently 1"lower)-oly shoes- warmup- bar, 170, 260

so that’s all, should have gone 950 before the 1000, 950 would have been there, just got over ansxious since everything was easy. 1000 felt real heavy lol. so after we did a lil checking on band tenstion, my bands are real sretched out apparently, they were -0 at top and about -80 or so at bottom for me. also apparently with my wide stance the box and thin bumper looks to be right at depth for me. i have vid so you can see. not exactly what i wanted today but it wasn’t all bad. i’m excited to try straight bar with everything and straps up, i think 1000 is there…just not with the safety bar yet lol.

thanks guys! i looked at my vid of the 1000 quite a few times and compared to my 900, there are a couple things i’ll change next time. fyi, i didn’t post the vid of the 1000 attempt but i put it on youtube.

that’s all. wasn’t really speed work, worked on getting in a good setup and just something a lil easy and did conventional to give my hips a rest from my wide stance as of late. the leg press was more of rehab/prehab type work to get some stretch and rom in, same as the knee ins and outs.

thanks! yea hopefully, more than likely it’ll be with the straight bar though, but i think the safety bar isn’t to far off.

did some band assisted stretchin after. the 455 went pretty well but the 500 didn’t go, was gonna go 405x10 but wasn’t there, so did some lighter stuff. first time front squatting in oly shoes, based on me sitting down and how the 225x10x2 went, i think i was going lower than what i had intended to do. not sure when i’ll front squat next but hopefully 500 will go then.

sooo i’ve kinda fallen off the wagon a little bit and motivation is pretty low. i’ve been taking a prescrption for over a year a now and i can’t get a refill until i meet with another person that ok’s me getting another prescription. I understand the situation but i don’t get it in the case of a non habit forming, extremely safe medication that one cannot abuse for recreational purposes.

so in the meantime i am proverbialy “off my meds” haha. anyway, the purpose of this is, i need to try to keep myself busy and little down time. my training partner lil kyle had a tweet convo with efs a week ago or so and it seemed they had some interest in an article about our ssb training. I was just wondering if anyone would be interested or potentially read that article?

not gaurenteed that it will be approved and posted on efs but i’m just wondering if there would be any interest? i just need stuff to do, but don’t wanna do something there won’t be any interest in. any whoo, time for lots of foods so i hopefully have a good shirted bench day!
