Throw a little more DOUCHINESS in there and you’ll be RIGHT ON. lol.
What the fuck is going on in this shit hole? Oh, hi folks!

so whenever i write something like i did last night i feel like i have to explain more about it cuz i don’t wanna come off as jackass or put down a 500lb legit squat and this is normally a one way conversation, don’t have the option to discuss things with people face to face.
i don’t want to put down a 500lb squat, it is a good squat, i just feel(especially based on all my training partners’ progress) that if you really put hard work into it, it is very attainable. granted weight is a factor, i look at all the top 50 numbers and do realize that under 198 a 500lb squat is very good. i believe the average gym goer can attain a 500lb squat, but that means they would actually have to work hard and squat and not be content on being some skinny fat straight billed hat wearing bro that benches and curls all the time.
anyway, it’s time for wendy’s![/quote]
You’re an insightful guy scoops.
Spicy chicken sandwich? Man if I was gonna fall off the wheat-free wagon it would be for a wendy’s spicy chicken sandwich with mayo and ketchup.
5-25-11 deload squat/dead
safety bar, box(pausing on box)-warmup- bar, 170, 260, 350x1
170+strong bands x2 added ace suit, straps down, no belt
220+strong bands x2x5
deadlift- 225+short avg bands x2x5
hip sled- 4 plates x12x3
knee ups? against old avg band x15x3
curl bar- 5lb per side x35(reverse grip), x40 normal grip
so that’s all, i think i accomplished what i wanted to, everything felt really light and really fast. i’m guessing the ssb with bands was close to 350 at top and deads were 330? i’m not real concerned with the actual weight, i was just shooting for somewhere between 300 and 400. jakerz told me i was doing it wrong cuz i didn’t have enough bar weight and that i needed like 50% 1rm bar weight plus bands… whatever lol. i do what i want! haha. i felt like it was a good day though, nice and easy and i didn’t max out on some random exercise.
Uh… You were doing it wrong… And seriously, you know and I know that if you don’t follow a training plan layed out by a “professional” then you won’t make any gains.

ummm i never do anything wrong…except for things that i do wrong. and yes you do have a point, i’ve never made any progress on my own plan, maybe i should have you make me a plan, you are technically a professional now aren’t you, or is he not a paying customer yet? haha.
Looking at your log made me realize I have a long fucking way to go… Thanks for the inspiration
5-27-11 deload bench day
warmup- bar, 95, 135
bar +short bands(i’m guessing aroun 180lbs total, added poor man sling shot)- x3x5
conor press- 1 plate x12x3
shoulder press on leg press- 1 plate x12x3
floor press- 185x12x3
curls- 10lb per side x35, x40
so that should be it, didn’t have time to write it down friday, was pressed for time cuz i had to get going down to kansas city for the weekend. the bench was what i wanted, i used the poor man slingshot with it to mimmick what i did for my squat and dead work. well anyway, back to the normal stuff next week, i feel pretty good and think this may work pretty well but i guess we’ll see.

haha thanks, but i have a way to go myself! it never ends lol.
6-1-11 squat day
safety bar box, same height-warmup- bar, 170, 260
350x1
440x1 added belt
510x5
540x5 added inzer wraps
570x5
610x5 added reverse bands
630x5
safety bar low box, sitting on box- 200lb x10
knee outs- x15x2
knee in’s- x15x2 per leg
so that’s all. it’s starting to get really hot in the gym. i cut my stuff short to go have dinner but in lieu of my shorter workout i actually went pretty quick with my squat work so it was a good workout. weights are good, things were quite a bit easier this 5 rep week than last 5 rep week so that’s good. i feel like i was gonna say something else but i’m at a loss right now.
anyway, pretty sure there was an ISU basketball player in the gym tonight. he was doin some dumb stuff, then what really killed me was him doing dumbell snatches…with 30lbs. now i’m not hating on the exercise itself i’m just hating on the weight used, mainly cuz it was obviously not hard for him and he didn’t really need to work on form, and he didn’t use it for some kind of cardio work or circuit work, so i don’t really know what he was aiming for?
He was aiming for mediocrity and achieving it rapidly…
6-3-11 bench day
warmup- bar, 95, 135
185x1
225x1
290x5 1 board
300x5 1 board
310x5 1 board
325x5 1 board, pms
335x5 1 board, pms
195x10x2 (normal grip, not open grip)
curl bar curls- 25lb per side x20, 25 and 10 per side x20
that’s all, had to get in and get out. goin out of town tonight, so not gonna be able to deadlift, gonna have to figure out what i’m gonna do about that. benching went ok, i debated about 315 on my last set instead of 310 but i’m gonna stick with my small increases right now, i def had 315 in me though. laterz!
Hey man, i wanna run some things by you later, i’ll pm you either tonight or tomorrow but i got to go out right now
Also 630x5 safety bar box squat, nice!
Hey man, just wanted to drop in and say you’re doing one hell of a job in here. Keep killin it man, you are putting up some awesome lifts!
6-8-11 squat day
ssb box, same height-warmup- bar, 170, 260
350x1
440x1 added belt
540x3 added inzer wraps
570x3
600x3
640x3 added reverse bands
200x12x2
band abs- choked- 15x2
and don’t hate i’ll explain my reasons but i did calf work on leg press- 5 plates side x12x2
so i’m not entirely sure what it is, it’s been over 100 degrees here with heat index past few days, but since tues i’ve kinda felt real sore like i’m sick, didn’t feel good yesterday, didn’t feel good today. kind of a bad headache too. was pretty close to throwin up in gym, layed on floor for a few min after i was done, didn’t do ghr’s cuz i’m pretty sure that woulda made me throw up. the 630 didn’t feel real well so i just stopped there instead of doing my last planned set of 670x3. so now to the calf work, whenever i add knee wraps my shins get a hell of a workout, and pump almost. my calves def aren’t as strong or conditioned as they use to be and when i used knee wraps a long time ago i never had this problem, i’m thinking my shins are compensating for my lack of calf work. so yea, just sitting and tryin to feel good right now.

thanks, and thanks parsely
6-9-11 recovery lol
walked the dog for about an hour. feel much better today. appetite was also good and back to normal today, hopefully gonna be a good rest of the week.
6-10-11 bench day
warmup- bar, 95, 135
185x1
225x1
275x1 1 board
300x3 1 board
310x3 1 board
320x3 1 board
335x3 1 board, pms, for funzies i went with a normal grip but wide grip, middle finger on rings
345x3 same as above
195x12x2 wide normal grip
db incline- 80lb x12x3
conor press- 2 plates and 10 x8 lol, called it good here
straight bar curl- 70lb x20, 90lb x20, reverse grip 40lb x20
wide tricep pushdown- 100lb x20x2, 110lb x20
that’s it. i feel like a newb looking for “the answer” on my bench. i know i shouldn’t keep switching grips and setup but i haven’t found something that feels right yet, so i got thinking about it and decided to go with a wide normal grip when i added the pms, it went really well, feels good so may switch to that. did conor press and i was pretty much spent for pressing work so i just called it after the set of 8.
deadlifting tomorrow, i’m just gonna go along with my plan and go with my 3 rep stuff tomorrow and pretend like i just did my 5 rep stuff last week lol.
side note. i did a box jump before i did anything on wed, apparently is was 44". super easy. if i can i’d like to set up a 50"+ box and get a vid jumping on it. for some reason people are amazed that i can still jump. they don’t seem to realize that adding over 300lbs to your squat doesn’t equate to anything else.
6-11-11 deadlift day
block 2-warmup- 135, 225
315x1
405x1
495x1 added belt
545x3
575x3
605x3
695x3 added reverse bands
745x2.5 lol
245x12x2
chin grip lat pulldown- 140x12, 160x12x2 used straps on all, hands sore from block pulls
cable row- 187x12x2 used straps
ghr- bw 25lb x15
ytwl’s - 8lb x7cycles x2
ended with extra rolling and traction work.
so that’s all, next time i’m just gonna keep my reverse band weight the same atleast for my top set. it’s been kind of a hard week, so i’m not real surprised it felt heavy. also did some measuring with the reverse band setup. at block height it is -155 and at top is -100. full range deads felt good, hip is still doin good. i can tell my body is pretty damn spent right now. time for chinese food and milk!
side note. grettiron you may be right about the added high rep work and getting to huge to stay in the 198 class haha. i’ve added about .5in to my arms, .5in to my legs, and about 1in to my shoulder circumference so far. and my weight is back up to normal now, really been tryin to eat lately to bring that back up.
Get fuckin’ huge man! What’s the worst that happens? Squat ratio goes down, but poundage goes up?
