2 on, 2 out, 2 balls, 2 strikes

God I love that, no idea why but it just sounds so good.

Who do Mets fans root for? Do you root for the “other” home team? Or do you hate the Yankees more than anything else in the world? Just curious.

Derek Jeter’s error in the 6th doesn’t come close to cancelling the play he made in the 4th: going to his right, jumping and throwing to 1st. I love that shit. Jeter has to go down as one of the best ever at SS.

The Yanks better sac up and get something going soon or Sunday will be a football only day.

Thank god baseball is over for a few months. All it does is waste quality Sportscenter time.

I almost called it right. I said MARLINS in 7 but they wind up winning in 6th.

And yes I am A METS fan GO METS! Well not this year. Maybe next.

EAT IT NEW YORK!!! I’M NOT EVEN A MARLINS FAN BUT I LOVE WHEN NEW YORK AND ATLANTA TEAMS LOSE. THE FOOTBALL SEASON IS ALREADY A WASH OUT FOR BOTH…BETTER LUCK NEXT YEAR CHUMPS!

I’m not a Yankees fan either, but I wanted to see a game 7. Sometimes watching that “yankees magic” kick in late in the game is fun, too. It just wasn’t there last night.

I felt like I owed the Marlins a little support for what they did to the Flubs, but I still just couldn’t get behind them much.

None of that changes the fact that Jeter is a great SS, and the guy gets some amazing tail too.

Derek Jeter one of the best ever as SS?

You might have to reconsider. Read these:

I give him his credit for being clutch in the post-season. And he is an established All-star and superstar — can’t deny that…

…BUT, since he came into the league, he has been one of the worst fielding SS’s in all of MLB (statistically)

Just this year he finished 2nd to last in fielding percentage, and also makes fewer plays per 9 innings than any other regular SS in MLB

Ok, you win. I’m not even going to read all the links cause I’m sure you’re probably right. My reference is skewed because I only follow baseball in October.

Which usually means: “It’s October, time to see how the Yanks are doing.” Which also means that Jeter is one of only 4 SS’s I get to watch every year, and it’s very possible that he only plays well in the postseason. Baseball any other time of year is so excruciatingly boring that I may never know.

Jeter sucks on paper, but he has the “leader” quality that paper stats don’t measure.
