Kind of but not really. Staying active in the gym certainly helps me be better at the sports I still compete in, but my primary reasons have become the general health benefits, vanity, and a perceived mental benefit of keeping to a routine, achieving goals, etc.

To a small extent. However, today i value my performance and strength in the gym over pure aesthetics.

1 (I didn’t regularly exercise from age 22 to 27, but I was still more active than the average person by far)

Bad cholesterol test at 27, when I was younger it was just what I did.

No, if I’m not lifting I don’t feel right. If I’m not training for something, I don’t feel like I’m being a good example for my family.
