If you are eating moderate or more amount of CHO, and are not using AAS then you really do NOT need to eat so much protein.
1g/lb is ample for a natural athlete (or trainee) who has ample CHO in their diet. Without CHO, Protein requirements increase drastically, and if you use drugs that increase protein synthesis then you wioll again benefit from higher amounts.
If you are over 6 foot and skinny, then i would suggest 1g/lb of whole proteins and plenty of CHO with it (somewhere around 3g/lb maybe)
Im super pumped right now! On August 23rd, ( My first day i starting eating high protein/eating more in gneral to gain mass i was 238) Today September 26, BOOM I weighed 250 lbs. Thanks guys for the advice, im gonna try to get to 265 by Jan 1st.
I eat a carton of eggs a day,a gallon of milk with protien shakes a day, weigh my meats to get the protien grams, lots of veggies, peanut butter and lots of water. It sucks after a while and getting up early to start the whole process is important.I only count protien grams as this is much easier to do. Oh,and some quality protien bars too. welcome to the wonderfull world of mass eating. Eat the 2 grams a day of protien and rest enough and you’ll grow without getting fat. Those carbs will kill you and you’ll get enuff from the foods to be fine. Enjoy

If you are having problems with fullness from food or not being hungry in general; whey protein is very easy and light on your stomach for extra protein. I use 2 scoops per shake which has 60g of protein 5 time a day = 300g of protein and I feel like I ate/drank nothing - just like water. So I drink (including the protein shakes) about 3 gallons of water a day to give myself a feeling of a little bloat/fullness.

It’s actually not that “easy” on the stomach; whey and casein are two of the hardest proteins to digest and stress the gut more than other proteins. Whole egg protein is supposedly a lot less stressful on the gut.
For those that do have gut/GI issues, this makes a difference. Most here won’t care because they have probably been consuming whey and casein for a while without issues.

personally i dont eat 1gr/1lb or anything like that… i figure that you only need to feed the muscle so instead i only feed it 1gr per 1lb of lean muscle so i just do the math based on my BF%… no need to feed the fat… IMO
Carbs are definitely a must for any natural athlete to recover properly. Care to elaborate on your ‘carbs will kill you’ statement?
