1st Cycle- Considering AAS's or IGF-1.

So I’m 23, 6’4 and 187lbs. I’ve been training about 3 years, off/on training 3 years prior to that. I’ve gained about 25-28lbs the past few years, but for a long while now it just seems like I’m running into a wall and not making any progress. I’ve tried split programs, full body programs, my calories never drop below 3,500 a day and yet it seems like I’m not making any progress. My supplementation is also spot on with creatine mono, good multi, whey, fish oil, ZMA, PWO insulin spike shake, etc.

I’m considering a cycle of 12 weeks test enth-500mg, 1-4 d-bol 40mg ED. (and of course a proper PCT tapering of clomid and nova)

At the same time though, I’m quite interested in LR3IGF-1’s ability to generate new muscle cells, as I’m not exactly blessed with great genetics and it’s hard for me to pack on the muscle.

I’m wondering if my best bet would be to run with the test and oral, or if perhaps I could do a stand alone run of IGF@40mcg E3D? Or run the test and oral and then incooperate the IGF into the PCT?

I’ve heard some people claim you should start with anabolic gear before hitting the peptides, but IGF is very appealing. I’m torn. I’m looking for some experienced opinions please!

I understand at my age that considering gear may not be the best idea. None the less, once I’ve become fixated on an idea, it’s quite hard to change my mind. But lecture if you’d like, I’m always willing to listen and soak up as much information as possible.

Thanks guys

Looks like a solid cycle. I think your age is appropriate, but I’m not qualified to give you a definite answer. There’s nothing to say that you can’t run IGF AND AAS at the same time.

That being said, I’d recommend trying to put on a little more muscle before you go on AAS. Your first cycle is your best, so you may as well get as much results naturally before you play the “Ace” card that is AAS.

Well I was considering IGF alone for a couple months to help put on some size and hopefully generate some new muscle cells.

I’m onsidering it as it has low side effects, doesn’t suppress any hormone production, and is legal to purchase.

Though I thought IGF AND AAS for my first cycle may have been a bit much, hence why I’m trying to decide whether or not I should go with IGF or AAS for the first run.

Come on guys! T-Nation is filled with some of the most intelligent minds and I really value the opinion of the members here, give some please!

Give us a better idea of how much you’re eating.

At 6’4 you should be able to get to 220lbs easy without any chem assistance and regardless of genetics. just an opinion though.

Well, like I said, my calories never drop below 3500 on any day. It’s usually more around 4,000-4,500 a day. I’m getting at least 1.5-2g of protein per lb of bodyweight.

Eating plenty of carbs, a lot of potatoes, whole milk, oats, pasta, etc. I get a good amount of fat as well from olive oil, peanut butter, red meat, eggs, etc. Protein comes from the milk, meat, eggs, some chicken and tuna, a bit of whey

At 6 ft 2 and 187lbs whatever your eating just isnt enough. Its just that simple. You’ve plateaued at your current caloric intake. Not your genetic lifting or growing potential.
This is likley why there is a lack of responses as Im sure that is the general idea.
