Wow man, great job and gl in your contest![/quote]

thank you very much man. less than two weeks to go now and this week will be mentally/physically hard with what i have lined out.

i’ll make sure post pics of contest day.

Fantastic, great posing - you look real confident at that.

Tri’s ok… Bi’s well shaped but little small in comparison to rest of body as you mentioned.

I think you have a great shape, athletic.

I intend to do my first competition next year after i have put on more size, and your posing routine will help me out - so thanks!

Good luck, i am sure you’ll place fella.

Joe

Yah, first show, and you are not even doing a novice show.

Use this show as a baseline for every show you do following, as you will find your physique will improve much quicker once you begin competing regularly than if you had not competed at all.

Good luck.

thanks a bunch man. i think the posing comes from having a decent kinesthetic awareness…however, some of the poses do need improving.

ya know…i hate training biceps…i’ll train tri’s for an hour straight but biceps…ugh! however, i know they need improvement…just not big enough.

good luck for your first show. i wish you the best man. i’ll make sure to get a vid of my posing routine on youtube.

later…

ah Pris…thank you. Glad to hear your words. i look forward to future shows. i’ve attended the E-Cup numerous times now i get to be on that stage…it’ll be a blast.

talk with you soon man.

To those who had been interested:

the day has come and gone and the Emerald Cup was awesome as expected. 18 guys in my class and i finished 13th. For my first show at a show like this i can walk away with my head high. It was a tough light heavyweight class. I weighed in @ 195.3 and didn’t fully fill out until the night show. I learned some things with my last week’s prep and will make adjustments in approximately 6 weeks time when i enter another show.

here are some pics that show off the final project:

if you haven’t figured it out yet…i’m the guy one in from the left in the burgundy trunks

Well done. Great to see someone working towards a goal and achieving. Hope it gives you the spur on to continue.

Well done again.

Congratulations. Great to read about stuff like this at T-Nation.

Looking forward to following your progress as you get more comps under your belt.

thanks a bunch man. i enjoyed the experience very much and certainly will do the show next year along with possibly another in 7 weeks. i think i can add 10lbs to my frame, come in tighter and still be in the light heavies.

i highly recommend anyone who wants a great experience to make their way to the Emerald Cup and try it out.

Congratulations. Especially for a first contest. You did have a tough class from the looks of it.
