1mg of Arimidex Per Week?

I am going to take my 1st injection tonight! The doc prescribed me .5 cc’s per week to start (which I think is 100mg per week?), with a 1mg tab of arimidex per week. I discussed not taking the ai to start. He was fine with that. My question is how to tell the symptoms of high estrogen and when to take the ai if need be?

I’d like to not take it, but like the fact that it’s an option if need be.

.5 cc is 100mg if your t strength is 200mg/1 ml

No ai at least for another 8 weeks. You may never need an ai, many don’t. . Also 100 a week may be all you need
.

Stay on same protocol for 6-8 weeks and then assess symptoms and do labs.
Until then you will experience several temporary symptoms that you need to wait out. Waiting is the hardest part.

It sounds like you were given a cookie cutter protocol, you were prescribed an AI without indicating you even need it.

As many will tell you, most men don’t need AI’s. Also some guys don’t have any symptoms when estrogen above the reference ranges.

As for an indication your dosage is too high, acne, irritability, diminished libido and erectile strength issues.

Note it can take up to 3 months for your body to adjust to your protocols, so changing things too often can set you up for failure.

Take your 100mg only. Test in 3 months, and dont expect real changes for 6 months. Stick with your protocol and dont change a thing til you get first labs. Get the Estrogen stuff out of your head. I run twice as much T, and Guys here run 400mg cycles with no AI.

Ok, thanks guys. Took first shot around 10 last night. Had some anxiety and felt flushed. Also kept dozing off and then waking up immediately, so didn’t sleep good at all.

The needle really stressed me out!

Hopefully you are using an insulin syringe. Like 29 gauge

I’m going to have to get some. 23 guage in the quad…

That’s very standard for first time trt protocols. And it’s unbelievable that anyone comes back for a second shot after the first one. We all eventually learn to never use that gauge needle. Some learn after a few pins, some take years to switch. I’d suggest being on the fast-learner side of that equation.

What’s a good source for 29 guage needles?

MedIcal Lab Supply has 29g 1/2” in stock and they’re my primary source. I’ve bought from a few other suppliers but everyone is hit and miss with what they have available. Most states don’t require anything from you in order to purchase syringes and needles, but double check and make sure that you’re ordering something that isn’t restricted in your state.

Seriously? I don’t even feel a 23g 1in needle. Almost every one of my guys use the 23g. However, if you want to talk about an 18g, 2in needle…no argument.

25g 1” all the way. I tried lighter gauge needles and filling those syringes was like watching grass grow.

How deep do you go with the 23 guage? I feel like I went more than 3/4" in… it kinda hurt. Could’ve been that my wife was moving it all over… (yes, she gave me the shot!)

My God. I just cringed looking that that bastard. I thought those were only used to hunt whale in Japan.

Your provider is living in the Dark Ages, ouch! When you see the 29 gauge syringes, that should alleviate some of your anxiety.

Maybe your provider has you using those harpoon 23 gauge syringes for “scientific research purposes”.

Really? I take most of my injections with 1.5” 23ga for, glutes. Fav spot and pain free. I do use 25ga for upper quads though.

29g is easy to fill and inject with. Letting your wife do it is going to get old. Do it yourself and inject in Ventroglute, no nerves or veins in that area that will cause pain.

I injected it into another syringe. We used 22g 1.5in needles. Maybe weightlifters don’t feel pain the same way? Some didn’t like the needles, but they did not complain of any pain.

Funny story, I knew a powerlifter who used the pre-loaded syringe. He bled from his hip to his ankle. I don’t think anyone asked him if it hurt, but if they did, he would have said no.

Come on man…

So if I get 29g 1/2" insulin syringes do i preload these with a bigger guage or just load the 29g?
