OK, is there a joke here?
The provider in question prescribed an AI before treatment had begun and without symptoms or lab values indicating a need for an AI.
It sounds like a cookie cutter design to me hence the Dark Ages comment. The only joke here is the provider.
If I’m guilty of anything it’s not taking enough time to properly quote what I was responding to.
What would symptoms of high e2 be? I am obese and am having anxiety since my shot. It was less that 24 hrs… is this more than likely all In my head or can anxiety happen this fast after 1 shot?
High E2 after your first shot, no way as only a small faction of what you injected is released from the ester.
Your anxiety is more than likely related to the injection itself, it’s not hormonal. My E2 is in the 60’s and I have no anxiety and I am very calm.
Now if you where to take the AI and drop your estrogen into the single digits, that would be a whole other level of anxiety for you.
Just load the 29g. Puncture the membrane once, and draw, then push back the plunger in all the way, and start drawing again. Should fill in a few seconds if the oil isnt stored in a cold dark place. I store it in warm room, in a drawer so that the oil doesnt thicken enough to make hard to draw. Every time you puncture something with the needle it will dull, so you’re good for 2-3 punctures. If you want to switch today, walk to your local CVS, Walgreens, and go to the pharmacy. Buy a pack of 29g 1/2in needles for $3.
Got it, and I agree with you. I see guys coming over from local TRT clinics and once I know which clinic they were with I also know what they are taking, and how much. It’s uncanny. Guys with vasectomies given hCG to “keep the testicles working”.
It has nothing to do with the pain. Pain is fine. But the additional scar tissue you build up over years is something that you’d look to minimize where possible.
I draw and inject with my 29g daily. It’s slower than a larger gauge, obviously, but it’s not like you’re going to cure cancer in that extra 30 seconds a few times a week.
It sure seems as though guys here complain of the pain. However, the scar tissue fear is mostly BS. I’m not saying it never happens, but the circumstances typically would not apply to anyone injecting properly. I’ve seen a few case reports in the literature regarding scar tissue and IM injections. Usually, the subject was not taking testosterone and not using sterile technique, so infection was the cause, not the needle. I do recall seeing one in which testosterone was used, but it was an underground source and the author thought impurities were the cause of the infection and hence, scar tissue development.
I see quite a few guys in their 50s and 60s, former competitive bodybuilders or powerlifters, who have been on TRT since they stopped competing. They called it “maintenance” and are in tremendous shape, wish I considered that. When they stopped running cycles, they went on TRT and have been injecting once weekly for 30 years. Plus, back then, 20g, 1.5in needles were used. That’s what I started with and, yeah, unlike the 23g, those did hurt.
On the other hand, I knew a powerlifter who had a serious abscess (had to get it excised) and subsequent infection. A drain was inserted for a while. This guy was nuts, injecting 3mL daily, testosterone and anything else he could get his hands on. That’s a lot of oil. By the way, what did he do with the drain in place? Moved the injection site over…
If worried about building scar tissue:
I’ll have you know that I make mine in my kitchen, not a bathtub, thank you very much. ![]()
Make sure the sink is clean.
I know a guy (of course I do) who made his own and sold it underground. He ordered the raw materials, powders, oils, preservatives, vials, etc. and put it together. I suspect he made other items as well. He did quite well, however I did hear sometimes the testosterone turned green.
I know this because he told me, he wanted out of the business and came in for TRT management, plus he brought several of his customers. I didn’t hear about the testosterone turning green from him though.
I’ve been using 18g to draw
23g to inject for over a year, never any issues.
Test Cypionate
Would there be any reason why I couldn’t push my shot off from Saturday night to Sunday morning? That way the anxiety won’t keep me up all night!
You should be consistent with your injections so that you can reach a stable state in 6 weeks, stalling this process will only prolong the time it takes for you to start feeling good on a consistent basis.
If anything your testosterone and estrogen are decreasing because TRT is slowly shutting down your natural production as the T injections are slowly building up in your system and this is most likely why you are having trouble sleeping at night.
I stupidly took that first shot at 10 PM on Saturday and the anxiety it caused me kept me up all night long. This is what I’m trying to avoid. If I take it upon awakening I will have all day to let the anxiety go down.
Probably not. This stuff isn’t epinephrine or insulin.
I spoke to a guy just today who forgot to take his injection, getting labs at ten days post his last one, instead of seven. Normally, he comes back at around 1000 for total testosterone. This one was 723. He did not notice a thing.
Won’t make a meaningful difference as far as hormones go. If it reduces nighttime anxiety then go for it.
Ive missed my dose plenty of nights. I dose twice a day using cream. Different then gels. Very strong and effective. If I go 24 hours without a dose I feel like I’m about to catch a cold.
For injections you have a long half life. One day is morning if you inject once or twice a week. Inject daily and it still shouldn’t matter much.
This reminds me I forgot my dose tonight. I’ll take it… it seems the longer one is on TRT the less issues you have when taken at night. The body jsut seems to adapt.
I like Steven R, I use 18g to draw and 23 g to inject. Most generally I don’t feel a thing, but once in a while I don’t shoot strait and it can hurt. And how many hours does it take to get a syringe full of Cypionate thru a 29g needle?
