1Kg Spinach a Day

So, I am wondering if 1 kg of spinach a day would be unhealthy(besides the shits)? Too much vitamin A etc.?

You would probably be much better off consuming high levels of Superfood/Greens product then overdoing it on just 1 thing.

The vitamin A in spinach is in the form of various carotenoids so you shouldn’t have to worry about toxicity. The only concern I can see is whatever nutrient or combination of nutrients causes protein synthesis to increase in vitro may not be left in tact or simply may not be as effective once the spinach has passed through the stomach and intestines and undergone any number of chemical reactions.

unhealthy- doubtful. probably you’d be better off mixing up your veggis though, like the poster above suggested, but i doubt eating a supp like greens+ is anywhere as good as fresh or frozen veggis.

i heard from a nutritionist that green vegetables r very hard to digest, and they tend to accumalate toxins in your colon, if consumed in excess.

That nutritionist probably advocates limiting fats and eating 8 servings of grains a day.

Does this nutritionist know anything about nutrients and digestion? Seriously, most people on this board know more. Vegetables CLEAN OUT the colon and REMOVE toxins.

My organic chemistry professor told us the chemical in spinach that was toxic. Then said we needed to eat about 4-5 lbs of it a for an extended period of time to worry about it. Pick one food eat it in excess bad things can happen.

They can be harder than other foods.

They pass right through and clean your colon.
