Wouldn’t worry about DHEA yet IMO. Doubt it’s a big deal either way, esp short to medium term.
Yeah your e2 is even worse than mine was.before starting. I bet it makes a big difference for you.

How has your experience been since gettting E2 into a healthy range?
I mean I can have sex more than once a week and my d doesn’t go numb, so there’s that ![]()
Hey OP,
This was a very long thread, so I didn’t get to read everything. However, having suffered from low T from around your age and also being put on SSRIS (which I too think did something), I would give you the following advice. First, I would pursue HCG monotherapy first and make sure to find a hormone specialist who knows what they are doing. Second, should the HCG monotherapy fail, I would just get onto Test.
I think you will have challenges getting it due to your age, I certainly experienced this. With time though and research, you will be able to find a doctor who will prescribe to you. Because our stories are so similar, I just want to tell you that the issue likely is not going to go away and needs to be medicated.
It’ll be life changing for you and I’ve never understood the “downside,” which is you’re on the therapy for life from such a young age. Really, that was a small price to pay for me. You will have to fight to get this medication because of your age, but with persistence you will be able to obtain it and it will help you feel a ton better. We have the same story, I am just much older now and offering advice.
Thanks for the response man. I already have been prescribed testosterone through a private HRT clinic, so that is not an issue. How has TRT improved your life? Have you experienced increased libido, mental acuity, muscle mass, and energy?
Yes, you will experience all those things and then you will want to figure out how to balance your dose to avoid whatever side effects you may have. It takes a while to get dialed in and find the right dosage. However, given our labwork numbers and stories are almost identical, I am certain you will find it very beneficial.
There are many injection routes (IM vs. Subq), injection frequencies (1x week, 2x week, daily, etc…), and then perhaps using an estrogen blocker and HCG, Sometimes an AI is required, sometimes it’s not and its best to avoid medicines you don’t need. HCG maintains fertility, aesthetics, and have several positive health benefits. Generally, start with a low dosage of testosterone as your only variable, and then slowly add in other medications to augment if necessary.
It is a life changing therapy and I wish you well on your journey. It certainly won’t be a decision you regret and I reckon you’ll have the same pleasant experience as I did of realizing how you should’ve always felt.
Fuck a clean diet. Eat. Start with hard boiled eggs in the AM. A burger for lunch with fries and a coke. Then for dinner 1 piece of fried chicken with mash potatoes. Thats day 1. After that mix it up. Make it a mission to simply eat hardboiled eggs for breakfast though. You’re definitely looking for a breakthrough and willing to take short cuts. 40 year old you is shaking his head at you.
Lmao, how is drinking soda going to raise my testosterone and bring my estrogen out of the gutter? Why should I have to live with Low T when the medicine is available to correct it? The modern environment is fucking with my hormones, and I’m combating it. I absolutely am willing to take shortcuts to optimize my health, and TRT is a shortcut I am very excited for. 40 year old me is probably jacked as fuck, and happy with 20 year old me’s decision. Maybe I should run a cycle and make a year’s worth of progress in 2 months. Shortcuts here I come
And there it is… you just want a short cut to getting jacked. Get lost kid. Your environment poisoning you is a ruse to justify the fact that you recently got dumped for a better version of you. So… work out, eat, sleep and bust some nuts.
Hahaha what does this even mean? Why are you on a moral high horse? I’ve been victimized by big pharma, who placed me on SSRIs for no reason when I was 12 in order to make money. Our food and water contains God-knows-what chemicals that are fucking with our endocrine systems. Why would anyone not want to combat that? Now, at 21, my testosterone is low, and estrogen is below the reference range, but you’re telling me I should just live with low T, and eat junk food and drink soda to gain weight. Great idea man, I’m sure all of that weight I gain will be pure muscle, and I won’t turn into a fat tub of shit. Life is too short to accept mediocrity. I want to be optimized.
By the way, if you read my whole thread, you will find that I have spent the last year trying to raise my hormones by natural means. It did not work.
My current options are:
I choose option 2.
You made up your mind a few months ago. Do your thing. I honestly don’t care. Your parents fucked up and you’re a victim of their inability to deal with your coping skills. They were quick to seek medical help, and thats understandable. SSRIs at any age blows. I have a child, and my ability to deal with his inability to cope at times, is always a lesson. Essentially Im gonna get all Master Splinter on you, because the key is to get out of your head first. TRT is not something that I could trust you with… yet.
Optimal T is where you find a dose that resolves all symptoms. Whether it’s 150mg or 250mg. Don’t call into the trap of “oh my god my free t is above range crap”. You have no clue what the body needs until you start and modify dose till you feel good.
TRT should not be given following ranges as a base. It should be a guide to help you make adjustments. Shit they keep lowering the stupid lab ranges anyways.
Stop thinking ranges and think dose.
The environment is fucking killing us . Wow. So much research has been produced on this topic. Why do you think so many men and woman have hormonal issues today versus decades past?
It takes a little bit of reading to realize the toxic world we live in.
The food we eat is toxic. The water. The drugs. The air we breathe. Sometimes the clothes we wear and the utensils we eat from and out of.
Then you have soaps and deodorants and detergents.
The list goes on.
There was a hearing at congress where this was discussed. I can’t recall the topic. They brought in an expert who commented on their questions regarding this and it was simply shocking. Obviously it got us nowhere because our country (a wonderful country) is fucked by big corporate entities and industries that just buy there way out of reform.
Ffs pharmaceuticals themselves cause huge problems with hormones. Open your eyes and you’ll see that guys who have taken SSRI, opiates and benzos end up on TRT.
You are ripping on this kid and sound like a self righteous fool.
Obviously you are unhappy internally and are taking it out on total strangers.
Yes our environment sucks but dont make it out to be an uninhabitable planet. Im very happy with myself, and TRT at 19 requires a little stress testing. The dude is looking for a shortcut which will result in trouble. He is already talking about running a cycle. Spare me your defense. He needs to eat several steaks.
